She makes a face and gives her dad a light punch on the shoulder. "Should I tell mom you think she's never right?"

"Oh your mom is right about a lot of things. Marrying me for example. Great idea" He assures

Ash giggles

Sylvi giggles, then takes a seat near Ashblythe. "What brings you to Rivervale? Everything okay at Brightwinds?"

A heavy tread approaching.

"Gerd invited me. Baroness Sparrow agreed that that I should learn about troll culture.. she said rivervale was nice to her. She really likes Sir Frank and Hearth Kerri"

Dagmar enters the lodge, clearly prepped for patrol with Flyswatter on her back.

A smile. "Lady Sparrow's great. And just so you know, Hearth Kerri's my mom."

"Hey, Dagmar!"

A look at Olgar "No way"

"YEah way. Nice pull huh" Olgar grins

"I kinda win in the parents department."

"They do seem very nice" Ash says

"I mean, as far as I'm concerned. Dagmar's folks rock mightily, too."

"Oh, Dagmar, thank you again for everything you said at Goldfinch the other night. You really helped."

"Hey, how did it go at Goldfinch?" Olgar says "I'm out of the loop there"

"Will point out, I also have awesome parents."

"And... I mean, glad I could help? I'm glad it worked out."

"Well...it took a lot of talking and a little bit of arguing, but we settled on me staying as freeholder but with another holder to help and keep balance. We're calling them Back Up Holder...and it's Etsi."

"Olgar, nice to see you."

"Thanks , Dags. I figured I'd drop by briefly"

A small smile for the Rover. ("Thanks")

Chin lift ("Right call, kid. No thanks neeeded")

"What.. what was that?" Ashblythe looks over at the Olgar and the Dags

"Huh?"

Olgar howerver is focused on hsi daughter "Etsi? Huh... I didn't picture anyone older than ME but.. I can see it. yeah. She's not uptight and she has experience"

"It was like you said something but.. you did't" Ash says suspiciously

Grunt. Brow? ("She doesn't speak Troll?")

"Exactly," Sylvi says, nodding. "And she's not going to change up the feel of the place."

A glance from Ashblythe to Dagmar, then back again. "Ashblythe, how many trolls are there at Brightwinds right now?"

"Well, there's little joe and pepper, and Redfang but the Rovers have thier own spot..." Ash says "No other troll kids and the adults are busy"

"Not a lot of trolls for a frontier barony."

"So...okay...a lot of times when a place has a lot of trolls, like Rivervale, they sort of learn how to understand each other without words. Like, with expressions and sounds and stuff."

"THey DO?"

Affirmative grunt.

"Well, I've seen it here, and at the Farm, and some other places."

Olgar looks over at Sylvi "Proud of you making fail safes for Goldfinch, kiddo. That's thinking. Your mom would approve"

"Hunh. You think it's a Lodge thing? Sylvi's seen more freeholds than I have."

The last as an explanation for Ashley.

"Not everyone gets it" Olgar says to the Childling "Even with time. Poor Siv still slips every third part"

A flash of wolf-teeth with a grin. ("Siv tries, bless.")

Another pleased smile to Olgar. "Thanks, Dad. That's why I'm here, actually...I wanted to report in about it, but I see the car's not here, so I figure she's shopping."

"We got a lot of guests right now. Or maybe new folk, depending?"

"That's weird, about Siv. I mean, she was raised on a boat with a bunch of trolls, right?"

A shrug. ("Ain't wrong, though.")

A nod to Dagmar.

"Can I learn?" The girl asks

Grunt. ("Well, clearly, we must teach this wayward child better than my beloved cousin Siv, lest she become a Fiona. I mean this with the utmost affection. Fiona are a fine and noble house. But very chatty.")

Olgar snerks

A chuckle at Dagmar, then she looks to Ashblythe. "I guess we'll find out."
