Eulalie DeBuke comes in with the dross

Ives nods to her "Found dross?"

"What do you think?" Eulalie waves the dross about

"Huh" A nod "Good find"

"WHere did you get the dross?" Sally Mae says coming in

"Box by the emergency clinic for kids. Keeps producing it in lollpop form" The Wilders says "Hi, Sally Mae"

"You stole dross from a clinic for kids?" Sally Mae huffs

"I didn't steal it. I replaced some regular lollipops for this. It's how we gather as thanes" The troll wilder looks offended

"Mmm hmm.. you're trying to impress someone with dross, Eulalie?" Sally Mae says

"I'm secure in my skills" Eulalie says

Ives watches this and keeps fletching arrows while the women folk talk

"I think it would be better if you informed the elders here of it first" Sally Mae says "But it's done"

Eulalie sticks her jaw out "Then w'ere done here?"

Sally Mae arches a brow "Guess we are" She takes the dross "I'll put this away" And walk off with it

Eulalie turns and looks at Ives when Sally Mae is out of earshot "She's got some nerve lecturin me about checkin in. Given how she's canoodling with a sidhe"

Ives looks up "Does she?"

His feathers are fine and well done, each complimenting the flight

"Well yes, she about drove Hearth Agnes to her grave early, folks say so" She nods

"'Folks' got names?" Ives asks as he keeps working

"You know they do" She says "and yes, I wonder the same"

"Seems to me" Ives contemplates, "'some' of us, not naming names, might be jealous. She's got herself a beau, and it's even all star crossed for extra pep. She's proven to be a finacial wizard in the mortal world, but also running a fae biz that's spreading like wildfire. And she doesn't have to do farm work and can go socialize with just a few folk, or dozens and dozens who don't share the family name"

Eulalie looks thoughtful, then a bit guilty, then glares at Ives "I like you better when you don't talk so much"

Ives grunts ("I get that a lot") and keeps on fletching

A bit later, Hearth Kerri looks out from the kitchen. "Eulalie? Would you come here for a moment?" Beckoning her to the kitchen.

"Yes, Hearth" Eulalie comes in, looking every inch the proud wilder troll warrioress

A smile. "If you're not busy, I have an errand for you. Shouldn't take too long."

"Never been afraid of work, Hearth" She says "Just tell me and I'll do it"

"Excellent!" She goes to the counter and hands her...the lollipop dross. "Somebody brought these in by accident. They need to go back to the pediatric emergency clinic on the corner of Elm and Smith. Think you can find it?"

A look of confusion, then shame "Yes, Hearth. I was the one who took them. Seemed to be naturally occuring dross souce that you oculd re use, and mortal children don't need dros ss oI thought ya'll just overlooked it. I see now I made a mistake in that?"

She gathers them up to take as she talks

"Oh, it was you? Well, I can see the confusion. Yes, it's an excellent source of dross, and oddly occurring at a place that should be incredibly banal. I think it's important to leave that little font there for a couple of reasons. One, if any fae are going in there to help, they're going to need dross nearby. And two, on the off chance that any of those kids are dreamers or chrysalids, access to dross will likely help them get through their sickness."

Her eyes go to her feet "Yes Ma'am. I'm very sorry for my mistake. I'll correct it right way" Guilt as she takes it up "Won't happen again ." A pause "My apologies. I got more than one of those to make it seems. Is there anything else?"

"No need for shame. It was an easy mistake to make. As for anything else...give this a try, will you?" She offers a sample of danish. "I'm trying a new pineapple filling recipe."

She tries it, savors "mmm better than the stuff on pizza" ANother bite "Like the texture"

"Great, I'll put you down as a positive vote. Now, off you go."

"Yes ma'am" And off she goes with great haste.

Kerri watches her go with a satisfied nod, and makes a mental note to advise the other DeBukes about the clinic font.

Dagmar enters in from patrol, wiping off her boots on the mat and neatly setting Flyswatter aside.

Ives is fletching arrows in the main room

She arranges the experimental pastries on a platter and brings them out to the main hall. "Who wants a snack?"

"Ooo. Hey Kerri."

A squint at the DeBuke. "Ives, right?"

"Wouldn't say no to either question" Ives nods to both

Kerri puts down the platter. "Pineapple. I've got one thumbs-up for them so far, so let me know what you think."

The teenager drifts over to the platter, sniffing. "They smell good."

Ives stops and puts the arrows he's made away safe so childlings can't get to them

"That's a good first note." Kerri grins at her.

Happy Joyful barking, not Oak, Edelwiess, who has spent a lot of time here while Gerd was away

She takes on and nibbles at it, before finishing the rest off in two bites.
