It would appear they're telling the truth aboutt this 'challenge' there is someone doing that on Tick Tock...

"Yeah I just... it's funny right? It's just a mailbox"

"WAS just a mailbox, why'd you throw the bat at a DOG, man?" THe other guy in the back grouses "That's on you"

So far all true

Her eyes widen, and her voice is lower as she says, "You threw a baseball bat at a dog?" She takes a step closer, and her anger is almost palpable.

The one guy who threw it swallows "I didn't mean to hit the dog" LIE

"That is a lie," she declares decisively. Then she seems to dismiss him for a moment as she speaks to the others. "Each mailbox is time and money that must be spent to be replaced. Each destruction is the personal pain of having ones property violated. Beyond that...tampering with mailboxes is a federal offense. You face jail time." She glares at the driver in particular.

The Driver blinks "FEDERAL? WHat?"

"They didn't mention that on the Tick Tock"

"That does not surprise me. They do not care what happens to you."

"Beyond that, you attacked an animal," she indicates the batboy. "Another level of law, but also potential jail time for attempted animal cruelty."

"Do you wish to avoid those consequences?"

"Yes" "Definitely" "Oh god yes, my dad will kill me"

She nods. "Give me your wallets. You will get them back, complete with contents," she assures them.

"Shit, screw thisk, there are three us two of them" Says the guy who threw the bat

"GGGRRRRRR" goes Oak

"Three three" another one says and he and the third guy hand over wallets. the guy who protested at first decides to hand his over two

Brekke regards batboy. "You. I am becoming very interested in you." She looks to Frank. "Bring him down from there." Then she takes her time going through their wallets, learning their names and their addresses...and checking if there's anything in there like baggies of drugs.

There's not likely to be any of that if they were smart and removed things before handing them over, but if they weren't thinking clearly it could happen.

No drugs, far too many beers stored in the truck and not all three are 21 and up

"Hm. The beer you will not be taking with you." She checks the licenses to see how many of them actually live within her barony.

ALL of these shits do. One closer to the border mind you

She shakes her head, clearly disappointed. "Here..." she tosses back the wallets to the three still in the truck. "I know where you live. If you vandalize again, your parents will be told. And your coaches," she adds, taking a chance that they're on sports teams.

"I will repair this," she indicates the damage. "Any funds you wish to contribute to helping me do so will be appreciated."

One looks paniced at hte Coach remark

"Understood" they mutter and groan and pull out some money. Far less than covers what damage they did

She takes the money and raises a brow. "You know this is not enough. You have yet to learn honor." Again, that disappointed look, and she shakes her head. "Go home. This one..." she indicates batboy "...stays with me."

"later dude" "Bye, man" It would appear loyalty only goes so far

She notes this quietly.

"You're not a real cop right? "

She waits until the others have driven off.

Then she turns to him. "I do not need to be, do I."

"No" He looks at the woman and her massive husband

...and the large dog.

Who looks to hold a grudge

She takes the bat which has been left behind and swings it experimentally. "Correct." He may think she means to hit him with it...but instead she breaks it over her knee.

"HOW THE FU... " The guy pales

A grim grin at his paleness. "How? It does not matter. And none will believe you," she adds, tossing both parts of the bat back towards her Jeep, so she can pick them up on the way home.

"Yes miss" A swallow

Frank has indeed set the one he held down for Brekke as requested. He doesn't seem to feel the need to comment.

She looks to Frank. "I would have him help in the repairs." ((MB: enchantment & heatherbalm))

Frank nods.

"Co..community service"

Another humorless grin. "Not exactly." She reaches over and taps the center of his forehead. It's a light tap...but it lands like a light tap from a ball-peen hammer. And suddenly, the woman and man are both very, very, very tall in front of him. And very blue.

"We will not hurt you. But you must make things right." The big blue man rumbles.

He falls back, "Holy shit.. holy shit" they were big already, now theyre immense, and not human!

And their dog now has blue flecks in his fur and looks just a bit bigger too

"You're not human. What.. oh god, are you aliens? Or.. are you from.." He looks down "Below?"

"Does it matter? We are here...because of what you did."
