Life is busy...

Frank has found his patrol load doubled of late. seems all the wilders are busy, and there's so much clean up to do

Still, he's not complaining. Patrol is easy enough, and he will grudgingly admit that Olgar has his hands full right now.

At least he has Oak as his buddy. The dog is a constant white shadow of efficiency but good humor.

So they take long walks together.

As they patrol, something shoots by, Oak barks , but it veers off... a chimerical fox

"C'mon, boy. Let it be, it's not hurting anyone."

mmph Oak looks unconvinced. Soemwhere some Minstrel is going to get his drumstick bit

They patrol on.

They hear a BANG .. a BANG.. from the suburb area

Not a gun shot, more like metal hitting metal

He'll just wander in that direction, then; he wasn't aware of a blacksmith in the area.

Nope. But some assholes hitting mailboxes

Frank looks.

(No, it's not dirk but good guess)

Pick up truck driving, slowing, as frat age eyes guys slam baseball bats into mailbox

Frank moseys along the sidewalk, letting them see him and his dog as they vandalize the neighborhood.

They see he's on foot, and they're not, shrug and keep going. Looks like they have no plate up. Whatcha gonna do? Call a cop?

The big man does, in fact, pull out a tiny phone and carefully dial, watching them.

"Lame old fuck" Someone says glaring /"Dam Boomer".. the one whips the bat at , not him, but at Oak. Oak doesn't dodge, but catches the bat in mid air, angling his head not to bust a fang!

"Holy shit, did you see that?"

Oak looks at Frank, asking for permission for some action with his eyes even as he gnaws at the bat

The big man has a short conversation on the phone, hanging up and starting forward towards them when they attack his dog.

"Geez he's huge, just drive..."

"Alright, boys, that's going too far." he warns them.

They start to turn their pickup around. Oak chases, and while he can't out run a pick up long term, he has better acceration and turn radius...

Frank, just possibly, -could- out run the truck with his longer legs. While they try to turn around, Frank tries to jump into the back of the truck.

Not Frank's best leap, but it doesn't have to be, long legs and troll might mean he gets on their, landing on hall fours. Also on all fours is Oak, still with the bat, and he drops it in the pan before the boy who threw it and growls, as if to say 'Hey Timmy, you drop this down a well?'

Frank reaches in an open cab window and hauls someone out. Or tries.

The guy yelps, the truck swerves and bumps a curve, and Frank holds a punk of about 20 aloft having pulled him THROUGH an open window.. he might be scuffed but the jackass isnt really hurt.

Oak is growling at the two in the bedpan and they're afraid to move

And that's when Brekke pulls up in her own vehicle to see a street with four busted mailboxes.. and Frank one hand lifting a less than steller member of Gen Z

Frank gives him just a little shake. "Don't ever hit a man's dog, boy."

The massive man's voice is a low rumble.

"Yes yes sir.. but it was my friend who..."

"Shut up man!"

Brekke parks her Jeep and climbs out. The boys would see that she is also a Very Tall person...and that she's in uniform. They might not recognize it as a park ranger uniform, but it's a uniform.

"Ranger." in greeting "These boys made a mess."

"So I see." She looks at the boy who is nearly dangling in Frank's grasp. "Explain."

Frank, with apparently little effort, holds the boy out so he can talk to the Ranger.

"I ... it was just for shits and giggles man.. see there's this Tok Tick challenge..."

They have heard of this Tok Tik thing... the younger ones use the platform now and then. Apparently it can inspire great stupidity

"Is there." It is not a question; it is an expression of distaste. "Do you all agree?" she says to the others. "Is this what you were doing?"

The big man looks ready to pull more of them out through the window if they don't answer, and answer well.
