Frank gets a fluffy blanket to put the baby on. "Can't be too careful."

"Oak, Theon is going to do some tummy time."

"Yes, Siv. Superbaby. Strength Training."

"Yeah, " Vali nods to Siv, "It's a thing, you let the baby on his belly some, not when he's sleeping, and always supervised, but like your dad says, strength training. Some coordination too I think. "

"Huh" Sv blinks "I did not know that"

Theon blinks, and looks about. He doesn't seem upset at this change of position, rather, he rises to the challenge...

okay, rise might be too strong a word

he's still very little, but by gum he tries

"Hey, look at him, I wonder if I could place bets on how fast he can go?" Vali grins at his kid's efforts

"Mm. Lay down in front of him. Look him in the eyes." Frank suggests.

Vali flumps down and looks his son in i nthe eyes "Hey, Theon. It's me. Dad. Can you say Daaaaaaaad"

"Blah!" Theon blurts

Siv smirks then looks at Oak, who is confused

"I think Oak is worried Vali had a stroke"

Theon stuggles mightily, but is -just- able to wiggle a bit, move (if not LIFT) his head, and his eyes stare at Vali with unfocused interest.

"Hey you'll get there" he touches his son's nose "boop"

Oak moves to Frank's side. He's used to young onees.

"In a couple months he'll start getting fond of familiar things. Plush animals and toys and such. Put one in reach; he'll like trying to grab it."

Vali nods "Oh, Tiffany's already got him stuffed animals. We'll see which one he takes a shine too. She's going to feel betrayed if it's a cat plushie"

"If she got him a cat plushie, she knew the risks." Frank says, observing the little guy wiggle.

"Tummy time also helps tire them out."

"I find this notion interesting and would like to subscribe to your news letter" Vali smiles

Frank chuffs. "There -are- books about this, Vali."

"I know I know I have some. Kerri threw a few at Tiffany and I do read them" he assures "But it's still nice to know folk who have been here" He smiles

"Mm." Frank nods and goes back to get his cider. "Drink?"

"Yeah... " he rises but eyes still on his son

"I'll get it. You keep your eyes on him."

Frank goes to do so "It'll be the blink of an eye before he learns to steamroller, and then it's all over."

"Oh boy" Vali says "I am filled with dread and delight alike"

Siv looks amused "No wonder it takes a village. One baby is outnumbering the two of you"

"Enjoy it." Frank brings his drink over.

Vali takes the drink "Thanks"

"Easily." Frank agrees. "In your case, it took a ship's crew."

Siv blushes "I was not that much trouble" a protest "it was a ship? Where would I go?"

"Into the water." Frank says "Frequently."

"Up the rigging."

"Into the hold."

Vali chuckles between sips

"The bilge, that was a noteworthy day....."

"Okay okay.. okay.. point made" Siv sniffs

Vali's chuckle gets louder

Frank sips.

"And apparently" Vali adds, "You had a dislike of clothes"

Frank sighs.

Siv mmphs "Puritans, the lot of you. "

"With the avoiding hypothermia......" Frank sympathizes.

"I never got hypothermia" Siv protests

"you should thank your puritanical parents for that" Vali notes with a nod towards frank

Frank gestures; that was his -point-.

"Argh" Siv throws up her hands "Either of you want food to go with your drinks?" she makes her way to the kitchen
