It turns out, the Chief was out talking to the Count. Leaving Frank on pause, though he was able to talk to Vali privately if he wished.

Siv certainly has opinions

Frank pours himself a glass of cider.

Siv pours one as well "We're playing politics with Fir Bholg now?" Not quite approving, "Da, I know it's his call" She ask while Vali is out, "But it sounds dangerous"

Frank shrugs. "It's his call."

"Do you agree with it?" She asks

"I can't say, Siv." patiently "He cast omens, he get visions.... he has information I don't, and made choices based on that."

"Sure it's not Eiluned 101?" A frown of concern

"What do you mean?"

"Keep your friends close enemy closer kind of logic" She sighs "I don't know. "

"Could be." he agrees.

She takes another drink, then forces a smile "Dad? You were awesome in that fight."

"Thank you, Siv. I was very impressed by you, too."

"They never expect the blow and arching up strike from a troll. " She says proudly, "Thanks. Oh, got the second book of jessica's lands from Constance"

"I look forward to it."

"Been reading your books by the way, you're a pretty good writer, dad, lot of love in the pages for the people you meet," She smiles

Likely the situation with Vali still troubles her, but she's trying to focus on the positive things

"Mmm. I do the best I can."

"Well, i hope you're still writing? It's a skill and it would be wasted if you didn't use it"

"I'm taking notes, yes."

"okay" SHe ponders "now I'm worried I won't look good in your memoirs" but she smiles a bit "Any hope of pro family bias?"

A deep rumble as he chuckles "You shine, Siv."

"THanks, Da. " she smiled "Hope I always do for you."

"Of course you do, Siv."

Vali comes in, carrying his baby "Talk to your wife for five minutes, and suddenly she's off, and you've got the kid" He doesn't really seem that upset as he looks in his son's eyes.

Frank sets his drink down and comes over to observe the child. "Beautiful, Vali." he rumbles.

"Yeah, thank god he takes after his mother in looks" He grins proudly. "I never thought it would hit me this hard or so well, you know? "

Siv's features soften a bit as she sees the two fathers go all warm and fuzzy Like big friendly Silver back apes

"It hits hard every day, Vali." Frank gives him a gentle warning.

"Oh he's gonna worry me, I can tell" Vali nods "How do you resist the urge to build a moat around the house to keep dangers away from them?"

Frank takes a deep breath. "Wives."

"Ah," Vali nods "Yeah, you build a moat, they buy the kid a rowboat"

Siv snerks in her drink

"Something like that." he says diplomatically.

"You're not going to worry as much about Theon, Vali. He's a son. Boys to do all sorts of stuff that girls have to fight to get a crack at" Siv declares

Vali looks at Frank, "is there a safe way to answer that?"

"Wisely." Frank answers.

Vali nods then looks at Siv "I suspect each sex has their own challenges and trials, Siv, as well as the challenges we all face more or less equally."

Siv rolls her eyes and sighs, then moves closer to the baby, "He's a cute one. Not as big as CJ was at this age though."

"No, not as, but close" He nods "And I wouldn't tell Tiffany he was small"

"He's healthy." Frank says with finality.

"Oh yeah, " A grin from Vali, "And insistent. He gives that little neck of his a work out, wants to look around, see stuff"

"He's not got it down yet, makes him cranky but he's building those muscles UP" The proud father rocks his kid

"Lots of tummy time." Frank advises.

"Yeah?" Vali nods taking in the advice from the more experienced dad

Frank nods. "Critical."

"Okay," He nods and finds a clean run to do some now with his boy.

Oak looks curiously, and wags as the baby comes on his level, then looks to Frank

Siv blinks "Uhm.. Tummy Time?"
