He scratches at an ear, still somewhat unsure of the novelty of different ears.

Jonas assures Connor "i'm sure to mortal eyes, your ears are highly symetrical"

She shakes her head. "Right now, a year and a day. And we'll see if she's changed? Gwydion took a few years to sort out his mess, right?"

"They are? Oh no!" He claps hands over them, worried.

"He did," she nods to Dagmar.

"Sir Sergei at Earth Runes has her."

"Mm." A nod re: Sir Sergei, then a grin at Connor. "That is a good thing, Connor."

She looks back to Dagmar. "Perhaps I should have had you wait until the Mountain was here. You will have to relate all of that again."

Sigh.

"Yes'm."

"Should I write it down?" Jonas offers

A thoughtful look. "Dame Dagmar...how did the Baron and his people...well, and the new Baroness...how did they respond to Rivervale's involvement in their business?"

"Pretty well, all considered?"

"If you are willing, Jonas, that would be helpful."

"We're Nadeen's friends."

"Might not be oathed to her anymore, but..." She shrugs.

"Of course." A thoughtful nod.

"This, combined with the breeding...it is an interesting development."

Jonas gets paper down and begins to write it all down

"He.. Um. The Baron." Connor apparently isn't quite ready to give him any official titles. "He even said if I went there, like he asked, I could keep my Knight too."

He leans in and says to the Chief, "Maybe he doesn't know how much trolls EAT."

"Hey!"

A blink, and she looks at Dagmar. "He wished you to go there?"

A hint of offense that somebody would try to poach her sworn knight!

"He wanted Connor to stay, and offered to keep me with Connor, and..." She frowns and shakes her head. "I'm Oathed here."

A look between the two of them. "That must have been a difficult moment for both of you."

Connor shakes his head. "Nope." truth...ish? "Well, maybe for a minute I thought about it. But I won't have to leave anymore, so I don't have to go no where. And I'm not going to start OVER, I just got people here like I like them. So, not hard. Nope." TRUTH.

Dagmar blushes again.

A pleased nod to Connor. And then a curious look to Dagmar.

"Yeah, so... so Connor picked me. Us. Here. Um."

Jonas actually smiles a bit, for a moment at that

"Good." Another nod. She doesn't push further on the topic.

"I should send a message to Baroness Nadeen, congratulating her on her achievement of a Barony.

"Yeah..."

A curious look. "How do you feel about the outcome?"

"I mean... Nadeen wanted a hold. And she... she loves Aiden, for sure." A little downward twitch on her mouth.

"So she's really happy. And I want her to be happy..."

A nod, but she waits for more.

"And it's good Aiden has that mess sorted out with his memories, but I... I don't know if that means it's fixed, exactly. Dunno if hurts go away just because there's a reason."

"Mm. That must be seen over time. Are you concerned for Nadeen?"

"I think she'll do fine. She's 'corrupted' by us, right?"

Jonas has been sipping coffee and writing

"But she's just... dunno. EVen more gone than she was before? Dunno." Frown. She rubs the back of her neck. "It's fine." (LIE)

A pause. "Jonas...have you completed your notes on the events at SilverWolf? If you need more time, could I ask you to adjourn to the porch for a time?"

"I have the bulk of it, Chieftain" He puts it to the side "I'll check on the horses"

"My thanks." She waits until he departs.

And he is gone.

Dagmar closes her eyes, looking mortified. "Sorry, Chief."

"For what? I may ask to speak to my knight and her squire in private."

She leans forward a bit. "I think I understand what you mean about Nadeen. It feels more final than it did before, yes?"

She nods.
