"Oh." A sigh "I'm sorry. I shoudln't have brought it up. THey're still your friends you know? Bet they'd come if you called and said you were in a fix" She puts her arm around the girl's waist "But yeah, it sucks when a pack splits. I don't care if you're garou or not."

"Yeah. We were, like. not official, but we were a team."

"Isn't Siv dating piper and jonas?" She tries to be polite about it "A poly kind of relationship?"

"Uh. Yeah."

"Okay is that what you mean by fancy? Because ... I'm not sure I like it either mind, guess part of me has this 'mate for life' thing? Or maybe it's just an upbringing on the mortal side, but isn't romance different from you know? Fighting together?"

"Well, they can sleep and fight together..."

"Point.. and you're not into cousins" A smirk "But have you thought of getting to know Piper and Jonas too as friends? Maybe you've got another pack in the wings? "

"They're... dunno... they're kind of a set." She looks down, rubbing the back of her neck.

"Sam, you're not what I can quick to trust. I had to work hard to get you to see me as a friend despite my OBVIOUS awesomeness. To have a friend, you've got to reach out now and then. It could lead to rejection, but if they don't see how awesome YOU are? to hell with them. THey got no taste"

"Heck maybe someone new is looking for friends?"

"And I remain YOUR Friend, it's just I hate to know you're feeling lonely in a crowded lodge"

"It is really crowded. Dunno. I have my family, and Connor's a great kid, and the horses. I'm not alone."

"Just..." Shrug.

"You need wyld one..err fae friends your own age"

"Yeah, maybe."

"Okay. So some of these new guys.. don't have to tell me details, but if one of them is fae, and close to your age, maybe make a friend"

"Okay, who do I need to pop in the nose?"

"You know, long winded excuses won't get me off the subject. Which one's being a bitch?"

"New guy. Hates it here, hates being one of us. Just wants to go, but, obviously, is a danger to himself if he does."

"Just like Adam all over again. Resentful, yeah?"

"Oh." A nod "Look, Adam? Thing of the past. New guy? Maybe redeemable but not your problem. But don't let him make you afraid to approach other strangers. It cheats them for one thing. Like I said, you're awesome"

"I was thinking about ... well, Dirk's NEW Girlfriend." A nose wrinkle

"Oh. Prissy."

"Yeah.. they're.. yeah."

"Not subtle?" A huff "Sorry I know I mean he and I were never.. a regular thing? But.. ugh I don't know what I liked about him anyway. She can have him, right?"

"Right."

A NOD, quite firm. "Damn right. Still, she's probably NOT terrible, and she came before these others. Maybe.. she's decent enough to hang with?"

"Oh, you've already talked to her? IS She a bitch?" ALmost.. hopeful?

"She's... " Well, Dagmar can't just say 'she's a redcap."

"She's a lot like Dirk."

"Oh.. well, forget her then" she actually seems a bit pleased "As a potential friend I mean. Clearly not a match. We move on"
