"She does" Colton whispers back

Stormwake is hardly left alone in the paddock...he is also present as part of the crowd, wearing his floral decorations nobly.

It's possible a fae hound is guarding the food tables. two of them in fact. Edelweiss and Oak on well behaved patrol

Brekke watches her approach, nodding her approval.

Star preens. Obviously, everyone is looking at her!

When they get closer, Brekke calls hands the horn off to the Mountain, and steps forward. "Dame Dagmar Hammerstrike, welcome to your and your family. You come here with a purpose today. Declare it!" An encouraging "challenge."

Dame D'Lorean aka Lavender aka Dee gave a knightly salute when Daggmar went by her part of the crowd.

Gerd has hooked up with Wudlig, arm in arm

Connor takes the cue to lead Star to one side when Dagmar dismounts. He is wearing his Gwydion tabard gifted from Hemlock, his sash of Rivervale and Dagmar's own sigil on a badge, and looks near as proud as Jaymes.

She only briefly purples. "Chietain Brekke Shacklebreaker, Baroness of Rivervale, I come to pledge my arms in your service, to defend this hold and its people, and to serve honorably as your knight! I, Dame Dagmar Hammerstrike, Daughter of Kings!"

Siv gives a whoop at that

Sylvi lets out an impulsive little cheer before she can stop herself!

Nadeen beams with pride

Kerri gives her a VERY proud smile.

Piper surprises herself by getting a little teary eyed, and whoops, nestled in between two trolls.

Jonas seems reserved, but he does smile a bit

Brekke nods approval, clearly pleased by this. "Then...you know you have a task to perform. Are you prepared?"

And Jaymes and Tove hold hands and watch with pride

Symon is close by - closer than other sluagh, in fact, and despite the noise, he soldiers through, watching his best friend intently. His gaze a little amused as though he finds the idea comical, but also, he grins when Dagmar announces himself.

She nods. "I am prepared to demonstrate my tenacity and dedication."

Prissy smooths her damn dress akwardly. She's not alone, Margita fusses with her collar but both do it quietly

"Then follow. All of you," she adds, including the crowd...and she leads them around the Lodge? Back towards...the sparring ring?

She pats Star's neck and shoots a nervous smile at her family before following.

Dirk is armored and armed, and has a sash that says 'Crowd Control'

Sylvi follows with Colton, a puzzled glance to Nadeen. She's never seen an oath of fealty performed before,

And Tove smiles back.. and soon they're moving on after.

In fact, everyone is. It's an interesting flow. Even without redcap enforcers, folks seem to konw this is Dagmar's moment, and those most special to her are given right of way almost instinctively

The sparring ring has been swept as clean as possible, and covered with fresh straw. The railings are amply decked with ribbons and flowers.

Connor carefully loops the horses reins on a ring set for this purpose, not bringing them to the sparring ring - lest Star feel obligated to interfere in someone going after HER human!

Symon slinks along and snags a good view.

Piper moves right up to the ring and perches on a high rung, perhaps with help from Siv or Jonas - it's HARD to be the short one in the crowd of giants!

A representative from the Garou is there. A certain Philodox. Enchanted, of course. And wearing her own Cinco De Mayo dress though it's early for that

And yes, a Dreamer.. who keeps creating butterflies without meaning to.

The ring itself makes a fine stage, a theater in the round, and when she and Dagmar are standing in the center, Brekke turns to the crowd. "Dame Dagmar would oath her fealty. Why should I hear her oath? Who will speak for her?" Again, a welcoming challenge. Brekke clearly, doesn't have any intention of declining!

Kerri steps forth immediately. "I will speak!"

Symon raises a hand!

But, he is not as loud as Kerri or as quick.

Dag sneaks a tiny wave when she spots May & Lupe!

"I am Hearth of the Lodge, and I have seen Dagmar from her first days here. I have seen her growth, her discovery of her true nature, and I have seen that she is WELL ready to swear this oath!"

OH. BIG eyes.

May grins BIG and wiggles fingers back

Now, she did spot Symon's hand as she stepped up, so Kerri defers specifically to him as she steps back.

Lupe makes a yanking at her collar gesture, then winks

Dirk glares at loud talkers so Symon has a better chance of being heard!

Frank steps forward.

He moves forward - rather self conscious, but... he just doesn't make eye contact with anyone else, and that seems to help. He actually goes over to Frank, and gestures politely to ask the mountain to listen and repeat for him. A gummy grin towards Dirk.

Frank nods to Symon, ready to repeat for him.

He says, and those closest (including Dagmar and the Chief herself!) may hear the whole of it, whether or not the Mountain repeats it exactly.

"Please let them know that... even though I think the whole Beltane business is a load of malarky, and oaths are a waste of breath - Dagmar doesn't feel the same way. She would fight and die to the last breath and last drop of blood and last ounce of glamour in her for this hold, and even for anyone not of the hold who needs protecting. It's dumb as hell, but that's my friend. And she doesn't need an oath to prove it... but if anyone DESERVES the recognition of an Oath, it's her, and Rivervale will be damn lucky to get it."
