While Frank tries to stay near his wife, the Chieftain sometimes gets pulled away. And he has his own tasks. As Mountain, the magic of Beltaine is his province.. and there's a lot of energy to watch

There IS a moment (or more) where the Mountain helps the Storm take her armor in to clean and store, and a quick clean-up of the Storm herself is probably in order. Sometime later, though, yes..... he is watching the energy of the celebration. With a happy curve to his beard.

"Hey dad" Siv grins at her father, "Great Beltaine, huh?"

He nods. "Yes. All Beltaine are celebrations and joyful but this one is... especially so."

"Aye, I'm glad they let May and Lupe get enchanted for this. It was icing on Dagmar's cake" A proud look at the crowd joking and laughing about the big girl.

"We're fortunate to have her as one of our family."

"Yup." She nods, then adds "Speaking of one of the family. It was nice of you to let the kids decorate your rig. Looks fantastic by the way, they were very gentle with her"

A soft grunt.

"I mean it" she says "You had every right to be guarded about that."

He nods.

"Do you and.. ah... do you, mom and the Hearth need me to take over hosting duties for Rivervale for an hour or two?"

"Mmm? No. Why?"

"I figured it being beltain even older folk might want a bit of private time with their loved ones" Siv says "And that's me trying to be delicate"

"If we find ourselves in need, I will be sure to call on you."

"Right" Siv nods. And for a moment she withdraws, not physically, she's rigght there... but her mannnerisms

After a moment, Frank glances at her, checking.

Thoughtful? Perhaps...cut off even?

"Everything alright, Siv?" he rumbles softly.

A pause "I'm not sure," The young woman says

Frank nods, giving her space to think, feel, and speak.

Then she adds with a smile "But I'll sort it out. Forgive me , I should go back to my loves" Speakinng of Piper and Jonas

Frank nods, both understanding and acceptance.

"Happy Beltaine, dad" A side hug before she goes

He watches her go, rejoining her lovers. Her use of 'dad' does not go unnoticed.

Siv puts on a smile for pIper and Jonas and greets each with a kiss

Piper beams at her when she shows back up. "Good talk with your dad?"

"Ah, well... you know dad, not a talker. That's me. Even Valil's gotten a bit quieter as a grump" Siv shrugs "You two got food yet?"

Piper pokes her softly in the side. "It's Beltane, and you're glum. What's wrong, love?"

"Just the same.. I kind of offered to let mom da and the grumps go have an hour for hanky pankey... not in thos words and dad.." She looks thoughtful "He said if they found themselves in need, they'd be sure to let me know. I... guess that's just it. They don't really need me. Do they? I'm... sorry. Thought i got over this hump"

Jonas frowns, "You're attributing indifference to your father unfairly."

A soft laugh and she gives Siv a squeeze. "Just because they don't need you to grant them alone time, on this particular day, doesn't at all mean they don't need you. You're their daughter! Of course they need you. Maybe not as a stoic protector knight sworn to Rivervale... but you're not Dagmar, and just because your Ma has a new oath, doesn't mean she doesn't need her daughter." Guessing at what may be bothering Siv.

"After all, you ARE the best King around, in my humble opinion. Certainly MY favorite."

Siv smiles "Ah, well, thank you for that. I just don't like this part of me. The uncertainty, the doubt ,and maybe the envy. It's not pretty inside or oout" She kisses PIper and Jonas "you're both right. I am being unfair to my da, and I am needed I just thought maybe Siv the knight was at least as useful as Siv the daughter"

"Siv the knight serves the people more than the lodge? if so, no shame in it" Jonas says returning the kiss "PIper is wise. "

"Siv the knight is amazing. Dagmar might protect here, but who goes out and battles foes afar? AND you have a ship."

"And two wonderful lovers who fuss over me greatly" siv smiles

"You gotta spend fuss to make fuss." Piper says wisely. "Can I get you a drink? I think I saw mead, cider, and some punch over on the table."

"Sure... Punch please" A grinn

"I'll try some mead" Jonas says, perhaps surprisin them

And as they approach the drinks, they find Brekke talking with Vali. No...chatting with Vali. Clearly no urgent plans or disruptions or portents.

Vali says "Oh definitely.." Vali is smiling "Couldnn't be better weather for it"

"Vali, Chief!" She greets them. "How's the punch?"

Brekke grins and nods, looking up to the sky with clear satisfaction that it decided -- or was convinced to -- cooperate for the day.

"Ah, Piper. It is good. You should have some," she urges. "Did you enjoy the ceremony?"

"Careful, someone's spiked the purple punch already" Vali says

"the red is safe" He adds

"It was amazing! Especially once I clued in that you weren't fighting in earnest. Or rather, you were, but for fun? I've never seen anything like it."

Siv grins "Looked like you and Dagmar had fun with it."

A brow at Vali. "And who might that someone be?"

Then a grin back to Piper and a nod. "We had planned it to be so. A display, more than a trial."
