"...stolen?" Blink. Dagmar hadn't even considered that.

"Hm. We may have allies to assist in that. I will speak to the winged wolves about aiding in his defense, should he be endangered."

"'Member, someone came to steal Star and Stormy. ANd they're just normal." Star snorts "Abnormal." SNORT "Loveliest Lady Ponylocks in all the land." Nicker of approval.

"For training, Connor, perhaps a whistle to let him know where you are and that you need him to come to you. As a first step. The spooking is another matter," she nods to Dagmar. "We will need to desensitize him to items that might make him spook."

"Yeah, they did.. just..."

"Trainin'." Willy agrees. "Also, before I make a saddle for him you need to figure out what you're going to train him -for-."

Stormwake stamps his hoof , perhaps to startle his son and see if it does so

Brekke looks to Dagmar and Connor at the question of end goals. "Perhaps travel and speed," she suggests. "Not combat."

"No, thinking more scouting, or messengering, or trails and woods..."

"Man, with those wings there could be great courier potential."

"The wings are why I suggest speed and travel. Woods scouting...the wings could be a liability. He may not do well there."

"Well, not like you have to figure it out now, just before I make the gear. But a halter.... yeah, can do. And the chip."

Brekke nods and looks to Dagmar and Connor. After all, this gift is not intended for her.

She nods. "Probably want to wait a bit on the saddle..."

"Yeah."

Brekke nods once more, and goes to check on Stormwake.

"Chief - I talked to my parents."

She pauses and looks to Dagmar. "Ah. And?" A glance to see if this is something she wants to discuss with others around.

Willy reluctantly puts the magic saddle away.

Dame Lavender is now petting Star.

"They think it's a good idea, too."

A pleased look, and a nod. "And you? It is still your decision."

"I think it's a good idea..."

"So just... like.. figuring when?"

"And talking to Connor about it, since it'd affect him."

A nod. This answer is apparently satisfactory. "I think it best to do while spring is with us, or latest by midsummer."

Meanwhile, Connor has been distracted and is playing with the goats...

"I'll ask buttinski questions later ," Dee says "But I can keep my horns out of it if you want, Dame Dagmar" A smile

"Chief asked if I'd swear Fealty." Dag quietly beams.

"Figured I'd ask you to come, when we set the ceremony date?"

A pleased look at Dagmar's tone.

Satisfied that Stormwake is in good shape, Brekke says to the others, "Excuse me. Please come to the Lodge if you wish refreshment or rest. I will be within. Dame Dagmar, let me know your further thoughts about timing."

Lavender grins "Hey, big honor!" Then bows to the Chief "Of course, Chieftain"

And with that, the Chieftain departs the stable area.

"Geez your boss is a whole lot of woman" Laveder says with respect

"Chief's a legend."

Willy has started poking around, examining stuff in the stables.

"Hey?"

"Don't you people know how to clean your gear?" muttered.

"Oh boy" Lavender says to dagmar "My apologies. She's not really a people person"

"Our gear is clean!"

"Fffttt."

"It is."

"Willy, she's a Gwydion." A note of warning without directly mentioning the temper risk

"That's not my fault, is it?"

"We take care of our gear and our herd."
