"Yeah, I mean.... sure, we kin put some kinda tracker on him. Or maybe suchaway to keep him grounded but ah think it oughta be something to keep track of him. Mostly, though, he needs trainin'."

"Oh Dagmar's great with horses, somethingg we have in common" D'Lavender shows her friendship unashamedly

"Could be that keepin' him grounded could damage him someway. A tracker'd be good, but teaching him to find home and obey a command to return'd be best."

"Yeah, but the Baron was worried about ariel predators like griffins and things, or him getting lost in a sky trod. Maybe we could get the litle guy some training in how to fight.... I mean his dad is a warhorse"

Spark , at this, chases a butterfly

"Could do, but I'd focus on obedience training and gettin' permission to go exploring." a shrug "That's me, though."

She watches Spark bounce after the butterfly "Starting to see your point"

"If you're worried 'bout him gettin' hurt or lost, teach 'im to ask and obey. You can load him up with all the tech you want, but it won't take the place of trainin'."

"Well, the trackin device sounds like a must. "

"Can do. Just a variation on an ID chip like they got for regular cats n' dogs."

"And the gear that grows with him?"

"You thinkin' to get him one set? I'd recommend gettin' him gear for what he's learnin' when he needs it. No point in getting a saddle for him now, right? And the wings mean it's a custom job anyway."

"Get him used to a halter and lead rope first, then a saddle blanket."

"the Baron asked if it was possible to make gear that would grow to match him, didn't he? " She raises a brow

A shrug. "Sure. Can be done."

"I think that's the repayment he wanted to offer Dame Dagmar. That and the trackingg. Though the pin feather I got should help"

"A'right. What's gonna be his end-use? You gonna raise him up as a hunter, war horse, pleasure-ride? There's a difference in the gear."

"Can't imagine just pleasure ride" She says but looks over at Dagmar, that's HER call on behalf of her squire

"Connor is... not a fighter, not yet. Scout, guard maybe..."

"Connor the only one gonna ride him? Gonna need his measurements."

"Connor is... around..."

A voice outside calls in, his keen ears easily hearing as he trots past. "I'm not round, I only ate 3 pork chops."

A laugh. "Connor, you want to meet Willy? You've met Dee."

"Hey, Kiddo"" Dee grins

Willy pats her pockets, frowning at the pooka. "Crap."

He trots in, and bows promptly to Dee. "Too nights in one day! And a ray of sunshine!" He gives Willy a tentative smile.

She gives Dagmar an accusatory look "It's a kid! The gear's gonna have to grow with BOTH of 'em!"

"Are you here for my birthday party?" He asks with a boyish grin to Willy. Dagmar, of course, knows full well that his birthday was LAST month. How could she forget, after spending all that time getting the marshmallow fluff off Spark's mane?

"-Birthday- party??"

"Well, Connor doesn't grow that fast. Spark'll hit full size before he does..."

"And it's at least a year before Spark will be put under saddle..."

"Which is why I say no rush on the gear and get the training done first, but....."

"Sure."

"But the tracker.." A nod "Your'e right, Willy. Probably the priority"

"Yeah, I can get the tracker set up; growth ain't gonna hurt that none."

"Agreed. Silly thing will probably fly off to the trees."

"Fly off??" He sounds alarmed.

"No, I don't grow... I went down a rabbit hole and ate all the cake and mushrooms all at once and they got confused so I stay the same size."

"Ya'll gonna grow." Willy assures him.

He kicks at the ground a bit. "I sure am."

Then brightens. "A growing boy has an appetite so that means I should eat EXTRA dessert!"

"Your squire's a go getter" Lavender observes

"Right, so.... I'm gonna need some of those samples from the colt. And if you want a saddle that grows with your squire, need some from him too."

"Here's a strand of his hair..." she offers

"MY Hair?" He blinks. "Lily says my bodily remains belong to her when I die. Does that include my hairs?"

"From Spark" Dee assures "I wouldn't defurify you, I'd hate to have my legs plucked"

"I need -something- IF You want the gear to grow with him. Gotta calibrate it. But if you're ok with replacing the saddle as he grows, then ok, BUT then the saddle is gonna be a problem if it grows with the horse and not the rider as well."

"Oh well.. taking a hair from the kid or something isn't My call"

"What's this for?" He looks to Dagmar for guidance.

"Cuz I don't grow. I got stuck in my pants and they keep me the same size, Boy's Medium. You can check the tag..."
