when Lavender returns she says "Hey sorry about that, been so long since I got to shoot the bull with Dagmar I feel behind"

"Yeah, no big deal. You ready?" Willy has acquired a paper bag and used some of her time to examine the magic saddle.

"Yup. You been bored?"

"Nah."

She looks at the touch ups on the gear "Wow. Put a shine on it why dontcha?" A smile though "I guess we head back"

And back they go. Lavender in Great spiris..which means she's gonna talk. a lot

"Chief? Chief?" Lucia comes in

"Or hearth?" She says realizing

Brekke was studying a scroll and did not notice Lucia at first, but then she does look up. "Ah, Lucia. How can I help you?"

"Someone brought up a boneheaded idea at the council.. and I. I may have commited to a cause"

A blink, and she puts her scroll aside. "Committed? How, committed?" A wariness in her tone.

"there was a motion to bring the Rovers, under the authority and reporting to the nobility and taking lead from them . I .. I assumed you were against a troll society being co opted like that"

She frowns. "You assume correctly. Who presumed to make that suggestion?"

"A representive of Hackensack"

"Hmph." She is clearly disgruntled. "Has the matter been dropped?"

"delayed. they weren't expecting resistence"

"I see." A pause. "This feels as though it is directed at the Lodge, not the Rovers in general, does it not?"

"Different source this time, Baron Angus instead of Unicorn Eye but I don't like the trend" She says

"Mm. Who supported your position in the discussion?"

"The represetitive from Teaneck."

A satisfied nod. "I would expect nothing less." But there's a note of relief in her tone.

"I must speak with Rover Olgar about this."

"I was hoping you would. I know he's a great dad, but.. don't tell Sylvi? He scares me sometimes"

A slight grin from Brekke. "Understood. He would not harm you, Lucia. But I understand. He is able to intimidate."

"Yeah.. anyway.. here's my notes .. you enjoy them with your coffeee. I gotta get home to help with clean up"

She hands the papers over

Brekke takes the notes with a solemn nod. "My thanks. I will review these carefully. And than you for discussing that particular matter with me, Lucia."

"Give your family my greeting."

"I will" She bows and slips out
