Jaymes sighs then says "Still going to worry" he says

"We both will" Tove admits "But if this is a gift... well.." She bites her lip, then tries a new tact "I thought you liked riding horses?"

"I do!"

"But, like, I could drive this places?"

"And, I mean, cars are expensive..."

The parents look at each other and have some telepathy go on. Even Dagmar can't read it for it is not troll language, but couple language

"...it came with helmets?"

More parent telepathy, new data incorporated.

"It was nice, riding with Dagmar." He adds, softly. "Places where the horses can't go."

An indulgent smile from Tove, then more processing

"The sidecar makes it more stable, right?"

"The motorcycle kinda looks like a Cyclops too."

Dagmar is used to trolls being stoic... except maybe for Siv and Vali...

and yet, this gap of silence is a bit unnerving. they've been 'talking' a long time now

"It is fuel efficient?"

At that, Jaymes breaks a little..a twitch of his lip that might as well be an escaped laugh

Tove rolls her eyes, then says "Your father and your Uncle Frank will look over it. Make sure it's safe."

"Yes!"

"I mean, thank you."

"You're welcome" Tove says "But we are still going to worry"

Grunt nod from Jaymes ("Little bit. Sorry but we are")

"Well, that's your job." Affably.

Connor gets a second sammich.

And they all eat

CHOMP!

"I bet Olgar could show me the tricks..."

"Tricks?" tove says. Her voice sounding.. mommish

"Well, how to ride it proper."

"...safely..."

"Then I could get my license!"

"No wheelies. No donuts" She says

Moms.

"Pretty sure those aren't on the test."

"They better not be on the road either" She says

"I like donuts. I wheely, WHEELY like donuts."

Licking his fingers after filching a final slice of bacon.

"I don't think we have any donuts, short stack."

"Pancakes! They come in a short stack!"

He is already stuffed, as evident from the bacon he hasn't quite finished.

He's working on it, though. Little nibbles!

Tove walks over, takes a cookie cutter, and makes a circle hole in one of the pancake/waffles "Donut"

"Behold Tove: Genius."

He sticks the bacon into his cheek like a chipmunk, and takes the ring to whirl on a finger. "Geeniush." Chew chew swallow!
