His nose up in the air, and he sneezes. “Augh! A bug!” Laughing.

"Sorry!" But she laughs, too.

“We can go ANYWHERE!”

"Sure, but FIRST the Barn. Maybe there will be breakfast."

“Ooooooh. normally on day after it’s freezer woofles and cereals.”

"Freezer waffles are still breakfast."

VRRR-rum-putt-putt-pew. The pair pull into the wooded driveway.

“Oh I like them! But I like em better with bacons and snausage and make a sandwich.”

The King house hold (Part 2) aka the Irownhawk home awaits.

"Bet we could do that."

There is some fussing until she gets the kickstand right.

Looks like Dad is home. His truck is there

"Okay, kiddo. Safe to unbuckle."

She heads up - as usual, to the kitchen door at the side, rather than the rarely-used front door.

The door opens, and her dad peeks out from the kitchen and mmph Brow ("Where have you been?")

"Uh - Samhain?"

"We came straight home."

"We?" that he speaks, then looks over to seeConnor... and "is that a motorcycle?"

"Um. Kinda."

Err ("How and why do you have a motorcyle?")

"Mm." ("Good question.")

"Mmph" ("Samhain.") Resigned

"Okay... CJ's fever is down" A voice calls

"CJ was sick?"

"MOM?"

"There were these one-eyed monsters, except they weren't the monsters, and I think that we SAVED them from the monsters, and, and..." Connor trots at Jaymes' heels and fills him in on what the night may, or may not have, included.

"Connor remembers more than I do."

"It's okay. I've got him..." Her mother says "it's just a bit of a fever"

"Want me to make breakfast?"

“ I know how too. We’ll take care of it!”

"Connor, can you handle woofles?" Checking the freezer.

"I already cooked" her father says... and points to the oatmeal "I can cook a little"

"I know. So that means you don't want any bacon, huh?"

"Mmph" ("I alwayswant bacaon") An admission

Grin. {"Thought so.")

Dagmar sets to cooking. She's not as skilled as Tove, but she can fry up bacon and scramble eggs. Connor can get his sandwich.

And Tove peeks in "Dagmar, you sure it's no trouble? your dad has oatmeal" She's got a fussy baby on her shoulder

"We're good."

"You hungry?"

"Starved" She admits

"So, see? Maybe CJ wants to say hi to Connor."

"If CJ has something I don't want Connor catching it" She bobs the baby on her breast with a practiced motion

"But you said he's doing better?"

"his fever is down, doesn't mean he's completely over it"

"Mmm."

Connor has pushed down the plunger on the toaster, and is watching intently. His nose tells him PRECISELY when to push cancel rather than relying on the uncertain heating element, for Perfect Woofles.

Few can appreciate this gift until they have tried them
