"Candy helps." Frank rumbles.

"it does. I do have some not in my bucket if you want some?" he says

"No, thank you. It's a little early in the day for me."

"The Hearth will be going out tonight with her husband for a proper couple time I am told. Sally Mae should be back later this afternoon"

"Soup is better for now," Brekke agrees with Frank.

A nod. "Good, the Hearth and the Rover should have some time together. Do you and Sally Mae need any additional support to compensate?"

"I don't think so, the Hearth has left us all well provided for" He says

"Good." She enjoys the soup, and has seconds.

the soup is quite good, little bits of vegetables and some potato bits but not too chunky. A meaty flavor that is not the bulk of it

"This is...beef?"

"Turkey actually" he apologizes "Is that okay?"

She nods. "It is very good." A satisfied sigh. "I should venture to Caer Falken today, and see that the Count is doing well after last night."

Then to Brogan, "I assume you would have mentioned if there were any trouble here."

"Might call around, check on folks."

"Of course," He says "All seems well. though not everyone has reported in"

She nods to Frank. "Patrol, then Caer Falken for me."

"Who is still absent?"

"Some of the wildlers... oh, Connor "

"Connor?"

A frown. "Connor is missing?"

"Probably with Dame Dagmar" Brogan says "But she's one of the wilders missing. Nadeen has been in so perhaps she was not with her."

A furrowed brow, and she looks to Frank. "Dagmar can care for herself...and for Connor...but I thought he would be staying here."

"You could call them? Squire has a phone" Squire says

"Mm." Frank rises and goes to the phone closet.

Brekke rises and follows, breakfast finished.

She stands near enough to hear Frank's side of the phone call.

Frank has to look the number up, but....... he dials.

It beeps and is answer - a rumbling roar of noise almost drowning him out. "h'looooo?"

"Connor. This is Frank King. Are you well?"

"Pranking?" Rumbling roaring. "Sorry! Can-- --aar you! --- thunder -- too loud!"

He sounds chipper, what can be heard. Surprisingly so for the time of season.

"Where are you, Connor?" he asks, loudly.

"--Nighttime!"

"Who is with you?"

A huff, and he makes an effort to try to clarify. "The Knight. MY Knight." Of course!

"May I speak with Dagmar?"

(He tugs at Dagmar's arm reluctantly. Not wanting to stop the ride!)

Dagmar... stops. Sort of a shuddery affair. "Connor?"

"Is it Mountain Time?" He shows her his phone, lit up with a current call.

"Oh..." She turns off the bike and leans down. "Frank?"

"Dagmar. All is well?"

"Yeah. Fuzzy, but okay. We're headed to the Barn."

"Ok. We're just doing call-arounds. Talk to you later." He gives Brekke a thumbs up.

"I'm ALWAYS fuzzy." He responds, before clicking the phone off. "More vroom?"

"Careful vroom!" She revs back up.

"Eeee!" He squeals in joy as they start off again!

Dagmar is still learning how to use the brake and throttle - this is quite a bit different from a horse!

Even with the stutters and stops and starts, Connor is enthralled. It's FUN to ride!
