And Connor ducks, blushing himself at the toast. "Squires have lots of work to do. Don't take our Siv away again until I can visit her more, okay?" Taking the snack he mentioned and scooting back out the door to find more chores.

The sound of boots crunching on gravel, and then the front porch.

Siv still blushing says "Connor's a rather fierce loyal lad.. he ah.."

Bachdion grins "he's delightful"

Frank pushes the door open and enters.

"There's my favorite therapist" Magnus says "Sir Frank, good to see you , sir"

"We met a few times at Firnost - I'm glad he found here, this is much better for him."

Frank nods in greeting. "Sir Magnus, Siv..... and this must be Sir Bachdion."

Frank offers a massive hand. "I'm Frank King."

"I've met your wife once, sir, an honor" Sir Bachdion shakes the hand

"I hope your journey was pleasant?"

"It was quick. Bachdion flickerflashes" Magnus says with a smile

"Not as quickly as I used to" Bachdion says with a chuckle and a sip of his drink

Siv gets her dad a cup of coffee and hands it to him

"Thank you, Siv. Gentlemen, Lady Sparrow explained our situation here?"

Sparrow nods. "I'm willing to help - but I don't think I'm suited as a primary mentor, here..."

A warm smile for Frank, back.

"I'm not sure about this, I'm CURIOUS About the lad's backstory, a sidhe who won't wake up? Wished half way? It appeals to the mystic in me, but I'm not sure I'd be a good mentor to anyone." Magnus admits

"I'm retired, well, semi retired" An admission Bachdion says

"The only way to rise is to have expectations, brother-mine."

Frank listens to all this with a thoughtful expression.

"I could sic Claire on you."

And he takes a chair. "I have not heard any of you..." he includes Sparrow in this ".... give an enthusiastic yes, but I have also not heard a solid no. Let's discuss? What do you think you would need to say yes?"

"The boy is elf-struck. He's at risk."

"And is a risk." Frown.

"You're a bully, sis" But Magnus chuckle turns into a frown "How is he a risk?"

"A pretty enough face, he'll tell you every bit of information he has. And since he has no strong loyalties to Rivervale, he won't even hesitate."

"That's not fair," Siv says "Adam has risked his life to defend the lodge and the folks of the barony" then she adds "Baroness"

Frank nods agreement with Siv.

"And yet he feels as if - and I quote - 'They don't like me much there. So I just try and keep my mouth shut and do what they tell me."

Frank sighs.

Siv sighs just like her dad

"Despite rather extensive trust and access for a kinain, he seems almost... aggrieved."

Magnus shakes his head, "Sometimes I think Liam are a bit too nice. No offense" to his sister and Frank

"The best thing I can say for him is that he hesitated when I asked if he would abandon his family to..." Nose wrinkle "Serve me."

"I fear what a less scrupulous sidhe would do with him."

"Leanhaun or Ailil Bait then..." Bachdion frowns "Tricky. Satyrs are prone to seduction ourselves"

"I don't think we can morally leave this unaddressed."

Siv says "Adam's got an annoying habit of thinking if you're not cheering him on, you're against him or 'don't like him' but he wouldn't betray Rivervale, not knowingly"

"Well, his brain turns off with a pretty girl." Blunt.

Frank rubs the base of his horns.

"Aye, that's true" Siv says

"Lady Sparrow, you are more than 'a pretty girl.'" He points out. "However, you are not wrong. Adam -does- enjoy the company of the fairer sex. He can be reckless, and arrogant. Having said that, he has worked hard, I think, to accept instruction and guidance from us here."

"Well, fair is fair, I'll at least meet him" Magnus says

"The same" Bachdion says

Brekke arrives and, after greetings are accomplished, she is brought up to speed on the conversation as she joins them.

Frank hands her a coffee.

"We would be grateful if you would speak with him." She accepts the coffee from Frank with a grateful look and takes a sip.

"I really do appreciate both of you coming on such short notice." Sparrow agrees.
