"normally I'd say 'sure' but that look on your face tells me I'll want to actually hear it first. What's up?"

"Could you use your Arts, or House, to help us choose a mentor for Adam?"

A low breath, "So that's come up? At one time I thought maybe it would be me, but I rub him the wrong way.. I joke, he thinks i'm being a jerk. I point out what appears to be a life lesson, he thinks I'm busting his chops."

"He is... defensive." Frank agrees.

"We approached Lady Sparrow and she met with Adam, but it was not a good fit." he explains "There are others we have in mind to ask, but also thought perhaps you could give us insight."

"I'm supposed to keep my visions secret, but in this case, I have no clear vision of Adam's mentor..... " A thoughtful look "I had heard he was treating his parents better for a bit. That the case?"

Frank nods. "As far as I know. I've spoken with Kyle, and Adam, a bit recently."

"I take it, when he saw Sparrow, his brains went right out of his head?"

"That is the impression I have."

"Well, I guess a lot of Kithain have the same reaction. I like Sparrow, but she's hard to NOT stare at... and yes I'm sure olgar would lecture me on that" A frown, then a smirk "Dame Kerri offer to take him as a second Squire?"

"She did not, nor should she, I think." Frank responds gravely. "Sparrow is going to ask a few people she knows at EarthRunes if they might be interested."

"Would he be moving to Earth Runes then? " brows shoot up

"Possibly. We are also open to hosting a mentor here. For that matter, a hybrid approach would probably be acceptable too."

"Back and forth... mmm" A pondering "I know people from the Lousiana area, but You know i've never presumed to invite a knight here... wait, does the mentor need to be sidhe, and does the mentor need to be Fiona?"

"Our thought is that those qualities might make for a mentor that Adam can accept, and have the knowledge and experience he is most likely to need. Sparrow was fostered as a Fiona."

"She was, but from what I understand it had it's down side for her. MMm"

Frank nods. "We have spoken of that. It might have provided Adam with a useful perspective but..."

"I know a few folks but I'm not sure they're wanting to move here. Who does Sparrow have in mind at Earth runes? Do you know?"

"Sir Bachdion and Sir Magnus, I am told."

"Magnus? Ha.. well, that's kind of funny. I like the guy. Good man. Bachdion I know by reptuation"

"Do you think Magnus would be a wise choice for Adam?"

"I think Magnus might get him killed. Frank, it's Magnus who found out about the human trafficking... who stops drug rings. A lot of his enemies are very mortal and very gun happy, on the other hand, he wouldn't take Adam's shit either. "

"And that's not a bad thing per se" A pondering

Frank exhales. "The risk is.... concerning."

"Well, mind you, Magnus wouldn't necessarily tell him to come along, might even urge him to stay out of it- but Adam hasn't always taken that well. Though, I understand he hung to his station in the raid so maybe he's better about. Sir Bachdion? he's the better one on paper, he's taught numerous fiona in his day but he also is said to be deferring students to others"

Frank ponders it. "Would you agree, on the whole, that Adam displays a certain.... recklessness?"

"Oh yes, he's part Fiona already in that regard."

"It would make sense. He wishes adventure and excitement, and is willing to take risks for them. And resents when he cannot. Perhaps he can't really help the resentment."

"He can't help the frustration, but he could work on the resentment" A pondering "I know a lot of Fiona who respect boundaries or orders otherwise no one would ever have a Fiona in their hold besides other Fiona."

"However, I think I get the gist of your theory there. It's possible he's under pressures we don't understand" A sigh

Frank smoothes his beard. "Because we don't know about them, or because we cannot relate to them?"

"4 on one hand six on the other would my guess" He says after a moment

Frank nods understanding. "I think that's part of the reason we are considering both Sidhe and Fiona. Although, whoever the -best- match is will be the one we hope for."

"I'll look up some old friends" Vali says "I.. am wondering, maybe the mentor should be male?"

"I understand the question. Adam ... can be distracted by a female. I don't know that he's shown any interest in men. Which, again... Fiona."

"True, I guess not every female sidhe will blow his brains out. I mean, at least he can TALK to Nadeen but even there he's a bit...focused?"

"And, he has known her for some time."

"True. I still think a male mentor would be better, but I know a few options and I'll ask around"

"Before you ask too many people, let us ask at EarthRunes. Still, not a bad idea to have back-ups."

"I do not disagree with you about the gender of the mentor. If we do find him a Fiona mentor...." Frank sighs. "No doubt there will be opportunities for Adam to meet women."

"If all he wants is a social club..." A frown as he catches his tone "Gah. I really am a grump now"

Frank chuffs softly. "Some would say if all he wants is a social club, Fiona should be a good fit."

"Does Siv know he's.. sort of Fiona yet?"

"However, that is not entirely fair. Our thinking was that if what he needs to know is presented in a way he can accept and appreciate it, he will do just that."

A nod "I'm starting to notice a demand for mentors all over. "

An eyebrow. "Who else needs one?"

"In Fenix, Dame Ash is mentoring the young Countess.. as a mentor on sidhe matters, she is qualified, but as a teacher on mortal education as well, she's worried she's not able to keep up. Dame Ash helped introduce ME into the HOuse Beamayn and I turned out great so we know it's not that part"

"Hmmph. Jessica needs a mortal teacher?"

"No, Jessica's reading level is fine last I heard." He jokes "Now, Ellie? She needs a changeling or kinian to teach her reading writing and rithmatic" An aside "Ash suspects Ellie might have dyslexia"

Frank sighs; he walked into that one.
