"Hmm." He considers something. "I'll have to call Jess sometime."

"You know a possible teacher to help out?"

"Maybe."

"Well, it's not me" he says

"Mm? No." Frank comes out of his thoughts. "Now, back to my original question. We thought we might ask you, but if it's not something you're comfortable with we understand, of course."

"To use your Arts and/or House visions for a mentor."

"I'll see if I can push for a vision" He offers "it doesn't always come when I call."

"Is there a risk to you?"

"Only in knowing too much, maybe a few nightmares and not being able to try it again for awhile" He waves it off "My patrol was almost over anyway."

And he prepares to make it to his home "See you around, Frank"

"Vali.... don't push too hard. If it doesn't come, it doesn't come."

He nods "Thanks, Mountain. I'm fond of you too." A smile "Don't worry, if I strain myself Tiffany will let you know about it..."

And Vali heads out with a wave Interesting. Maybe with some aromatherapy...

and exit Vali

And Frank heads back to the Lodge to report to Brekke and Kerri.

The new Cavalier Quarterly magazine has been put out where it can easily be found

And Magnus flips through it "Mother would love this"

"She already subscribes" Bachddion says

"Oh," Magnus says feeling silly "Shows how much attention I pay to the horses"

Siv sighs

"We are sorry, Siv, we thought you knew" Magnus looks up

"That Adam beat me to Fionahood? NOOO missed that little adventure" Siv says a touch testily but she focuses "Wine , tea? Coffee? we got lots of coffee"

"Coffee's dandy" Magnus says

"Wine for me, please" Bachdion says

"I imagine the new colt will be in next quarter, quite the fuss around here." Sparrow chimes in.

"Oh, that colt is just a bright spot in the room for all" Siv beams "What's your poison, Sparrow?" at the offer of a drink

"Iced tea, please?"

"Right away" Siv nods

"Now, the subscriber here it the tall one, right? I mean, all of you are tall, but I mean the girl built like a small mountain."

"Mom's taller I think, but who knows how big Dagmar will get? " Siv says "Aye, she's got muscles on top of muscles"

"And the Baroness is also not.. what... sixteen?"

"Yep" Siv says then says "I should note, in his defense, Adam was pretty damn brave even before he wished into a Fiona"

"She DOES say three words together though. I hadn't thought she did, until I asked a question about the horses..." A smile. "I think she's half a mind I teach the pony how to fly."

"Can you?" Siv asks a bigt excited herself at the notion "Oh.. edarn, need to get those drinks. Be right back" She rushes into the kitchen

Bachdion chuckles "I'm going to miss Siv being around Earth Runes"

"Me too. But she is like a fish in water here..."

"People should work from where they're happy if they can" Magnus nods, then he says to his sister "I'm not sure about this crazy notion of ME being a mentor . You know I'm social but I can be a bit of a loner when it comes to MY work"

"She's a Fishie in water." Connor pipes in, coming from the kitchen. "You'll want snacks with your drinks?"

"I'm good, but thank you!"

Bachdion looks over "Ah, thank you lad, Siv is seeing to us. I'm Sir Bachdion, this is Sir Magnus..a nd I believe you know Sparrow. You must be Connor"

Siv is in the kitchen preparing the drinks.

Connor popped in through the kitchen door then, and peeped out to ask about the snacks. "She's getting drinks, but you might drown within a snack to go with."

His ears prick and tail thumps against the doorway. "You know me! I must have been published in Squires Quarterly." A grin.

"Siv told us of you" Magnus says "She talked of the lodge a lot"

"Connor is a SQUIRE now," Siv calls out and comes out with a tray of everyone's drinks

She takes her glass and raises it. "Good for Squire Connor! Hoobah!"

"Mackerel told me all about you nice folks too. She complained that you kept Siv away for so long, and she missed her. The cat did, that is. Cats are silly like that."

"Connor" Siv blushes

"Hoobah" Magnus agrees, and Bachdion toasts too
