Frank pets her absently; he's GOOD at it.

"Quite all right, Sis. Currently I'm ducking Miss Zara so she can't swear me to secrecy" Magnus smiles

"Secrecy?"

Bachdion smiles "Good to see you again, Chieftain. Might I ask what you're hoping the boy to learn most?"

"Oh lord, what is the librarian on about now?" A smile.

A glances at Brekke.

Brekke takes a deep breath as she considers. "I think that he needs to find a center. A sturdy core, so he cannot be shaken from what he knows is right. I hope that would awaken him. He also needs to be able to withstand temptations, or at least not be victimized by them. I...do not know how easy or difficult that will be for him."

A nod from Sparrow. "That - exactly. He seems rootless."

"Long story, she is worried I'll draw attention... " Magnus says "WIsh she trusted my to know my business better" then at Brekke's word he listens

Brekke catches Frank's glance and returns a slightly puzzled look.

A shrug. "Sluagh."

"Mm."

Bachdion frowns "He has tried to push himself into one world... and now he's betwixt..and might always be. Da'an is not my area of expertise "

After a moment, Brekke redirects her attention to back to the others. "I have some responsibility in this, Sir Bachdion. I thought I was assisting the boy...."

"If I have the story right, he moved here a year or more ago and started seeing Chimera. I am not aware that there was a precipitating event, like a Glamourous encounter or an Enchantment. I don't know if I would say he tried to push himself into our world as much as the Dreaming may have reached out to him."

"It seems you did a great deal to make him feel included..."

Frank sighs and gives Brekke a gentle look.

"He...chafed at some early restrictions. I think that has colored his view since."

"But the restrictions were needed."

Magnus raises a brow "I wonder if he understands the power of dictum? I edon't say to use it casually, but maybe a lesson of WHAT soveriegn can do..mmm"

"I...do not know. I am not sure if he has ever experienced it."

Frank shakes his head, unsure of that himself.

A frown.

"I know, sis, I know. Not something we want to throw around too casually" Magnus says "But if you want to enter a dojo, you're going to get thrown on the ground for your own good now and then"

"I...do not think it would be wise to do to him unannounced. He would see it as a trick, something unfair. If he were told what would happen, and told to try to resist it....I think then he could understand."

The Mountain nods agreement.

"I know he -has- been told about the Art." Frank adds.

"Lady Sparrow...would you be willing to do this?"

"I don't think Sparrow should" A warning from Bachdion "Forgive me, Baroness..."

"As you see fit." She defers to Bachdion in this.

"I... " She frowns. "He's.. no. No. I don't wish to harm him."

A blink. "Harm?"

"It's just, if he is already smitten with her, and overwhelmed..." Bachdion begins to explain, "The soveriegn on top of it..."

"He is mortal yet. And I have seen stories of sidhe who use Awe but once, but the effects linger for years."

"Add in that I am Autumn? No. Better Magnus, I think."

"Ah. Yes. Then, Sir Magnus...?"

"Well, I'm Autum too but ... yes, I think it might be less likely I 'overwhelm' him"

Frank nods agreement with Sparrow.

"Mm." Brekke looks thoughtful. "I can say that he is feeling as though he has failed, in that Lady Sparrow has decided not to mentor him. I think many more rounds of preliminaries may cause him great frustration. Sir Magnus, if you were to decide to mentor him, would you wish him to move to EarthRunes?"

"My wife and I are comfortable at Earth Runes. If I tried to move her she would not be pleased. That said, I've traveled before... mmm" Magnus says "I don't know if a part time mentorship works? But I could visit if you want him to stay here. "

"Are you familiar with his family situation?"

"I have told him that we may ask him to relocate for his training. He seems willing, but concerned about his family."

"What IS his family situation to clarify?" A nod

Frank explains how the Thomases came to be Fae.

Magnus says "Dam that's fascinating"

"It has presented many complications."

"And frustrating, for Adam."

"For himself, he has asked me how long his training may take, and I have to say that his situation is unique. There is no way for me to say how long a mentor will wish him to train."

"And if he does.. ah.. awaken? There are aspects of being fae we cannot yet teach him."
