Gerd comes down, dressed nicely enough, not fancy but with some of Sylvi's make up tips

"Hey" She says

"hi" he says staring at her

Soft sounds from the kitchen. If there are dishes to be put away, he is quietly doing any of things that would be his normal chores.

He's not an attractive guy.. nockers aren't often

but he tries to puff up right

"I'll be in the kitchen if I'm needed," Kerri says as she goes through the door.

"No problem.. I.. brought you something." he says and holds it up "You seemed down. Dagmar was nice. She kind of hinted you had a rough time and your little brother was.. well he seems okay too but ... shit, you had the mother of crap days? So I thought this would cheer you up?"

"Look, Dagmar's great but you barely know me.. you shouldn't be . " A look "Feels wrong to take a gift from you"

"Well, if I'm encouraging you to do something you feel is wrong..." he props himself up with what he hopes is a 'cool' lean on his elbow "That makes me the Bad boy right?"

She raises a brow

Then he slips off the table with a thump

And Gerd snerks

"i'm okay.. I'm okay. Elbow pads need work"

"I'll take the gift" She says "But you need to not endanger yourself"

"No promises.. science marches on" From under the table

She smiles since he can't see. "Opening it now"

And he looks up, masked eyes coming over like a submarine peeking out of the water

And she opens it and blinks "it's a box"

"Yup" He says

"Wait... how does... " She starts to play with things "is there.. wait, it shifs?"

"YUP" He grins "may I show you?"

"Yes" she says

and he does

"It's.. wonderful" she says

"It's the Banner House speciality..hiding things, cameflauging stuff, it's.. well, sometimes precious things need to be hid from the world to be safe, or it feels like it. Sometimes... things are more than they appear and if you take the time.." he flips and clips the box showing her "You find the real beauty is not in the surface, but the depths" His eyes look up at her

Gerd blushes but runs her fingers over "I ..could normally never take anything like this...."

"But this one you can becauuuuuse" he coaches

"I really want it" she admits

He grins triumphantly "Permision to gloat?"

"Only once you're outside" She informs him "For now, feign humility while I praise your work"

"Feigning" he says nod nod nod

"I know two amazing wood workers, and when I say amazing, I mean they can make nature's beauty come alive forever.. and even they might not be able to.. no I am SURE they could not match the cleverness of this. " Gerd says "They could do beauty without, but like you said, depths" She clicks and runs the feel over it "Secret compartments where a witch can work her darker magics"

"Exactly" he nods "Witchwa?"

"Mmm?" She says then goes on "This is nice. Thank you, Wudlig it.. " A smile "It feels nice to get a gift from.. well... you barely know me, but in some ways that makes it extra touching. I don't understand it ,but thank you"

"No problem. I.. hope to see you around again.. You know, maybe drop you a funny cat meme or something... sometime? Text you?"

"Sure" she says with a nod

"You want to stay for dinner?" She asks then drifts back to the box

"Oh no my spinal fluid is all used up and I'm gonna run out of here on what appears to be a winning note" he mutters

"huh?" She looks up

"Not hungry" he coughs"but thanks"

"Okay, you do't know what you're missing though.. Hearth Kerri's food is the sort of stuff that allows you to slip past Cerebrus and bribe hades for the return of a loved one"

"Yeah I heard." he smiles "Sylvi says so too"

"Oh yeah" she sighs "Sylvi is ..well, she's kind of the natural leader of the wilders here.. SHe's a force, all that and beauty too."

"I prefer the beauty brains but kind of off on the side girl but still goes through hell to save someone special to her kind of girl" The nocker says
