Symon sits up with a hiss as the guest room he's ensconced in is intruded on. "If I wanted someone to barge in when I was sleeping, I'd stay at home, at least Anne Marie knocks..."

"I'm looking for someone, sorry... " She says sorry, then looks under his bed

"I sleep alone." He says, pointedly, annoyed. A sluagh awoken from his restless slumber, truly only death will allow for real peace.

"Yeah, yeah, " For once Gerd, who has always gotten along with Symon since her goth /witch experiments at least, seems not to care. But she does look panicked, afraid, something he does recognize

"Is this about the, uh. Chief's mission. I don't know if Eden is still here. If she's hiding somewhere as a snake..." He flushes a bit. "She HAS a boyfriend that Ain't me, so she'd be somewhere else I'm sure."

"Sorry, got to find my brother" a frown

"And I should have just asked you if you saw him. I know sneaking up on you is tricky"

He frowns. "He's always scampering all over. Hm. Ask Lily, she says he bugs her a lot." And then he clarifies. "Not really. She likes his company, though a slug kid would be better. He knows not to yell, which is more than that little goat can remember most of the time."

A scowl, still annoyed by the water balloon.

"And you wouldn't have been able to sneak up on me if I wasn't sleeping off one of the Hearth's healings. She noticed I pulled my back. Can't get anything by that woman." Tone vaguely annoyed, but also, kinda respectful.

"Yeah, if more Troll thanes were as perceptive as Kerri, no sluagh would get away with anything. Lily... thanks" SHe nods "Appreciate it. Glad your back is better... go back to sleep"

A faint grunt, and he goes to check that the door locks after her.

She heads down the steps "Eddie... track Connor" And off they go.. making their way to the Thomas

Gerd is very glad she's using the lodge phone to call Adam, or she'd not have her own phone free while she listens

Then she follows TXT: Connor tricked him

TXT: Well, we have to get him

TXT: Yes. Please come along. I can get us as far as Rome. The rest we'll have to either get a ride from Colton or something .

TXT: But you need to get here SOON . I can't wait long!

"Mom, Dad, I'm going to the lodge!"

"Okay , honey" Tove says

She hits the ground running.

Thank goodness the Lodge is nearby. When she rushes in, Dagmar sees Gerd hanging up the phone "Thank you. HOld on"

And making sure Dagmar has her Flyswater, Gerd grabs dross, and flicker flashes them both away.

It is the wee small hours when the prodigal group return to the lodge. Dagmar helps Adam out of the car. "Nuh-uh, no more driving, sleep here..."

The Lodge inhabitants are mostly asleep...except for the Chieftain, who sits by the balefire.

The kinain is too tired to protest. Dagmar is tired, but stubborn. "Gerd, you got Connor?"

"I got him" She says

He is flopped over, passed out.

Dagmar steers Adam up the steps, and holds the door for Gerd and Connor.

Brekke stands and goes to the door as she hears them approach.

"Chieftain? Oh god.." A sigh "I'm so sorry. I ..things have been crazy"

that said as she comes in

"Oh, shit... probably should have called Tove..."

"My brain shut off when we got him out of that Ailil hold"

A frown. "I am glad you are back. Jaymes and Tove are very concerned, Dagmar. I have been concerned as well."

"Sorry, Chief." She adjusts Adam's head as he dozes off and drools on her shoulder.
