"Oh yeah. Crazy."

"Yeah... he is..." A dubious look

"Zane, listen. The Chief has him under her protection, I got that. I ain't gonna haunt him over something stupid he said because Dirk goaded him. But if he's your friend, maybe you can advise him to try to take a step back. Because he's gonna run his ass off a cliff, and I don't want him taking any of us with him."

"Yeah, he ain't gonna like realizing he has to follow more rules now."

"Yeah ," A sigh "I know. I just...maybe that's one thing I Like about him.. not that he can be insensitive, but I got hoof in mouth myself"

"He thought he was being held back by Chief before?"

His jaw tightens a bit. "He likes to talk a big game. If he wakes up and has a title and power behind it and tries to order the wrong person around... "

"Even if he doesn't mean it." A shrug.

"He'll find not everyone is as forgiving as my bro."

"The fact you're saying Dirk is forgiving is kind of disturbing"

"Dirk is. Look at Colton."

"Well, Dirk didn't bite Colton's arm off, that was some OTHER Cap but.." A nod "yeah, Colton didn't trust him"

"Dirk is ours, and he's a cap, but he's... our cap."

"We're probably a bad influence by redcap standards."

"I didn't forget that you told all that hooey about how I orchestrated that quest to find the Dragonlance." A scowl. "You're still going to pay for ruining my good bad reputation."

"Yeah, well... you wouldn't boast."

"Oh buck up, Necrosquidmaster... think of her as your party paladin who dipped into a level of bard" Zane grins at Symon

"Hey, Paladins are awesome!"

"Wizards are where the power is," Zane says "But not the point"

"Bards are spoony though. Skalds are pretty cool." He admits.

"Fireball plus glass jaw, though. Rogue is the real power, high Dee-Pee-Ess and too quick to hit."

"So, yeah. I skalded you."

He gives her a LOOK but can't refute what he just says... so just glowers....

"She skalded you with hot boast.. it burns" Zane grins

And then groaaaans silently.

The eye rolling is loud enough to hear though.

Dagmar chuckles.

"Shut up, you love us."

"He worships the ground the rest of us stomp on?" Zane jokes

"If by worship you mean etch eldritch symbols to summon Yigg to eat your souls, then yes, worship. And, by the way... Yigg is like, the loser younger brother of the elder gods."

He snickers.

"Gotcha."

Symon stares at the darkened heavens. "Forgive them Ia Ia, they know not who they mock..."

Throwing up his hands, and shoulder shaking with his silent snigger.

"Oprah versus the Fish men.." Zane chuckles

"Now that'd be one hell of a D&D session..."

"Maybe we should stop inspiring him" Zane says then Looks at the time "I should go. guys.. I'll talk to Adam. You both have good reasons to be mad at him, I know and you have good points about keeping him from getting himself in shit so deep he won't breath, but well. .he's my bud so.. I gotta help him best I can. See you around"
