A nod, quietly encouraging.

Kerri comes out of the kitchen again...and she has a tray laden with bowls and a few gallons of different flavors of ice cream. "Sorry, don't mean to interrupt...but the situation seems to call for it."

"Oh my..." Gerd says and nods "YOu know, it'll be worth it if it drives me to therapy"

"Oh... that, yes, thank you, Kerri!"

"Well, nobody says you have to have a lot. Have what you're comfortable with," Kerri points out to Gerd.

"My pleasure, Dagmar." A deep breath as they dig in. "Are you all doing okay?"

"Better now." She admits. "Is that butter pecan?"

"It is," she says with a smile.

"Still feeling stupid" Gerd admits "I need to talk to Adam and take credit for my suggestion to Dirk"

"Well, world's crazy. Ice cream is sane."

Kerri takes a seat at the table. "It was a risky move, Gerd. But I understand why you tried it. Shock therapy for Adam."

"He shouldn't have insulted Dirk's mom. That's not cool. It's a hot button for almost anyone, really."

"And a Fiona test" A sigh

"And being brave doesn't need to mean being... mean. Or not realizing it can be suicidal to insult a redcap."

"But i'm the one who started it. I need to apologize to Adam, and hope he apologizes about the Anne Marie remark to Dirk"

"Are you sure he's Fiona? Maybe a touch of the chief rubbed off, because that was a TEMPER."

"No offense Dagmar."

She frowns at her ice cream and shrugs.

"That wasn't a Gwydion temper, at least."

"I've only heard stories. It sounds like a... righteous fury. Like when people talk about being smote."

"Dirk and Adam have clashed for months before you got here," Gerd tells Piper "Because Dirk IS a bully without even thinking about it, and Adam thinks the solution to dealing with a jerk is to prove yourself the bigger jerk" A sigh

"No, that was bravado. Gwydions...well...okay, yes, some of them get stupid bold, it's true."

"They had trouble on the first day of school, as I recall, didn't they?" Kerri asks. "Sylvi mentioned something, I think...."

She nods to Gerd through a big spoonful of Feelings.

She bites on her lip. "It's not... it's scary. It's... you can't stop it, and you hurt anyone you can reach."

She gets some ice cream. Chocolate.

Kerri nods and nudges the sprinkles Dagmar's way. "The Chieftain resists it. But the Fiona I've met...well, many of them seem to run headlong into it with little provocation."

"He does owe Anne Marie an apology, though. And he'll figure that out, one way or another."

Sprinkles are good.

"We all have our demons.... You ever had magic shell?" Poking at her ice cream. "There was a soft serve place back home, with like 12 different flavors. I wonder if they'll stay open..."

"I haven't had that, no." Stirring ice cream into soup.

"It tastes better frozen." A small smile. "It's like.... wax that you dip your ice cream into. But good? Made out of coconut oil, I think. Can't do that with melted stuff though."

"Yeah.." Gerd says seeming to snap out of something as she enjoys her ice cream

"...oh." Guilty bite.

"I'm about to go out" She says finishing up her ice cream "Hearth, do you need anything while I'm out?"

"Sounds nice."

Kerri vanished without a word when Piper mentioned Magic Shell...and guess what she has in hand when she returns.

"Oh"

"Oh, Gerd, you'll have to try this another time if you're heading out."

"I will" Gerd smiles

She passes the Magic Shell to Piper. "I do have a list...come with me," and she leads Gerd back to the kitchen.

A blink, suprised! "Your hearth is amazing..." She comments to Dagmar, and pours the chocolate onto her butter pecan, where it immediately hardens into a candy coating. And holds it out to Dagmar...

And Gerd goes with the Hearth

She takes it and obligingly gives it a pour.

"Hunh. That's kind of cool."

(Kitchen) "I don't actually have a list. I mean, we practically bought out the store this last trip. But I wanted to say...what happened before, don't worry too much about it. We'll sort it out."

(Kitchen) "Are you okay?"

And silence reigns for a bit as she cracks and eats the nostalgic treat, but it's a more comfortable silence then earlier...

A little smile when she cracks the shell, and she eats her own ice cream.

(Kitchen) "No, but I will be. And it's nothing to do with the ice cream. That was great" Then "I .. AM going to talk to Adam. And apologize to him. It probably wwon't work the way I hope but I have to try. "
