(Kitchen) "Okay. Will you do me a favor and tell me how that goes? I have a feeling that the more we all know what Adam's processing right now, the better for all of us." A bit of a wry look. "Definitely a wild card."

(Kitchen) "Good point. He's got to be shaken to be so close. Sure, I'll pass on the emotional intel to you, you're our heavy hitter in people probs." Gerd smiles "See you, Hearth." A breath "There IS such a thing as a Tesseract"

(Kitchen) ANd with a bow, Gerd vanishes

(Kitchen) Kerri grins at the bunk, and then sighs heavily before returning to join the ice cream klatch.

Piper glances at the door. "Do you think he's in a lot of trouble?"

"Adam?" Kerri shakes her head. "No, not considering the circumstances."

"Well, Adam has a knack for it."

"So, we have a wizard, a genie.... so I guess we're due a sorceress next?"

Kerri gives Dagmar a wry look.

"Oh, bite your tongue, not tonight."

"Sorry!"

She licks her ice cream spoon, scraping the bowl. "It's been a while. I hope he didn't try to argue with the Chief on top of everything."

"Yeah, that'd be a dumbass move."

She taps her spoon in the empty bowl, fidgeting.

"I think, Piper, that with the way things were going? She might have made him go home. Might have taken him there herself. Afterall...his folks don't know what has happened."

"Oh..."

"Oh jeez...."

"Well, I'm sure they'll be glad for him..."

"Yeah, but shit, this month has been CRAZY..."

"I'm going to go over and talk to Brenda in the morning, find out how she's coping. Hopefully, this'll be a good thing for that family."

"I should probably get going." She toys with the bowl a little more, turning it to look at the pattern under the ice cream smears.

"Piper..." Kerri pauses. "Adam is a challenging person. That doesn't make him less worthwhile. It does mean that a person who wants to love him may face some obstacles. If there's ever a time that you wish to talk to me about any of this...I'm here."

She looks a little unsure. "Is that... part of being a Hearth? Or just..." A small smile. "Part of being a mom?"

A grin. "Maybe a bit of both."

"Kerri's a safe person." Dagmar offers softly.

"Thank you, Dagmar." It's clear that she recognizes that as a high compliment.

A smile to Dagmar. "It's... hard, to be used to having two moms around that I didn't probably appreciate enough, to none - not that Auntie M isn't a peach." A sigh. "I can't help think the dreaming did him a disservice not giving him goat legs. He has the temperament to suit, sometimes." Lips pursed. "But maybe that's just my wishful thinking." A shrug.

"No, I can see it. The satyr part.."

"I can see it, too."

A glance over at Kerri. "I should be happy for him, though." It's maybe... a statement, or a question.

Dagmar frowns, just a little.

"Should you? I don't know. That's not the question, though. Adam is focused on his desires, and he's pursuing them. Piper...you may want to do the same. Your desires may overlap. But it makes no sense to focus on his and neglect your own."

"I'm just living life on the downlow these days. If I can play a little music, that's enough for me."

"Maybe we could do a music night at the lodge sometime?"

"I'm not a musician, but, like... Torin and Tove are. I could hold CJ and she could play."

"I'd like that... I don't think I've heard Torin play."

"Oh, Dagmar, that's a wonderful idea. I think the Chieftain would appreciate that, too."

"Oh, he's wonderful."

"Gerd asked me earlier if I could cause fear in someone." She remarks. "It took me a while to figure out what she was asking. And not really, I don't have magic that will do that. But... when I play? Not just Pan's Gift... if I try, I can make people feel what I'm feeling. Or what I want them to feel. It used to be..." She pauses, and rephrases. "It made for a good show. But I haven't really found the... the right... outlet for it? And with the Q-T lockdown, I'm not really finding anyone new to play for anyways."

"I've heard you sing, Dagmar. You can hold your own in that group." Kerri considers. "I suppose you have not heard the Chieftain sing often."

"That would be cool for, like, astory song - you ever do those, Piper?"

Kerri looks at Piper curiously. "That would be a very useful talent."

"It... yes." She simply replies.

"I think...perhaps young Jack has used his gift the same way."

She squints. "I think I only felt the gift the one time. It was okay?"

"Well..." Kerri stands, starting to clean up the ice cream gear, "...it can be misused. But it can also be used to great benefit." And with that, she takes the tray of empty bowls and partially full cartons back into the kitchen.

"There's something to be said for, sometimes, not being hung up on your own bullshit."

She sighs, nodding. "It's nice, to just let go for a while. But I do understand why folk are wary."

"Yeah, that too."

"It's late though, I really should get home. Thank you for the ice cream, and the tea... and um, the... well, everything. I'll try to catch up with the chief later."
