Piper moves to stand behind Adam, and wraps her arms around his midsection, a reassuring squeeze.

Brekke narrows her eyes. "I am Chieftain here. You do not order me."

Adam puts both Piper and Nab behind him, watching.

Piper, already being behind him, cannot take offense at this potentially patronizing protective gesture! Good thinking, Adam.

Mazu-Morkata sighs and bows

but he seems less than worshipful about it

Brekke looks at Adam, then looks at the others in the room. "All of you...go. All except Adam." She points towards the kitchen...and Kerri, standing at the door, nods tensely and waves people to join her there.

Gerd nods and goes.

Dag scootches to make room to pass, but seems intent on watching.

Nab swallows "But i.. yes, Chieftain" She shirnks and goes but looks back at Adam with worry and waves a bye

(From inside the kitchen)

Adam takes a few steps with Nab and Piper but lets them go in time and turns to face the Chief.

"I... "

" Be back soon."

"Speak carefully Adam. What did you ask for first?"

Kerri says to Dagmar, "Come away. The Chieftain wants this to be private."

"That Nab and me would me healthy and healed."

Piper hesitates by his side... but then trails off as well as ordered.

Brow furrow, but she obeys.

It may be a bit crowded in the kitchen. "I don't understand," Kerri says. And presumably they get her caught up.

Gerd says "Sorry thought I.. my bad" An apology to Kerri

Piper lingers by the door, switching from one hoof to the other in an anxious tip-tap-tip-tap.

Brekke nods. "Because you were both wounded." She considers. "If this were your choice to make, what would you request?"

"Man, I wonder what the Chief would wish for..."

"I don't get it... I really don't." She murmurs to herself.

Gerd says "the Chief would wish for something for the greater good...but that's a lot o options"

"I think I know," Kerri says to Dagmar. "We may find out."

A nod to Gerd.

"Right? But, like, I don't even know what that would be... how to word it right."

"Yes..." Kerri looks tense. "The wording of such things is notoriously tricky. Genies are...." She shakes her head and looks toward the kitchen door.

"Lots of stories about that. Symon told me about this monkey paw?"

"Chief.... I brought this to you for the Lodge."

"That is not what I asked."

Nab paces faster "And apparently it acts on subconscious stuff which is how I got to grow... but that's good right? It won't mess up whatever wish for the Chief"

"Unless she's subconsciously annoyed at Adam at the moment and wishes he wasn't around, or something." Also picking up her pacing.

Gerd admits "I have to admit, he got on my nerves a bit tonight"

"All right," Kerri says, "I'm making tea. Herbal. You all need to calm down..." she adds as she puts the kettle on.

"Make mind a double" Gerd jokes

Nabuni bites her lip

"....Oh, maybe that's what I'd wish for..."

"What, Dagmar?" Kerri asks.

"Tea?"
