And then "Chief? Mountain? Oh.. Dagmar.." A cough "Dagmar? Are you awake? I mean, if you're not, that's okay" Jack says "I don't want to wake you but if your'e just pretending to beasleep then maybe you can help me... which would be nice.." Jack yammers

"Oh hey Brown Dog, you comfy?" Scratch scratch

Tail thump in Dagmar's face

"Mmph?"

"Jack? Whasswrong?" Bleary, sitting up. "GAH." Tail thwap.

"Oh, Dagmar. You're awake! Great. I didn't want to bother you while you were asleep" Trueish? Kinda...

"I'm up, I'm up..."

Thump whap thump with scratches

Nearby, Another dog snoozes. He's not technically supposed to be a dog these days, but he does look comfortable curled up on one of the big arm chairs.

"Anyway. I was visiting this place and they've got like.. FIVE cats... four in training but still... and i like cats and dogs and so on... but I thought, what do you think are the chances I could get a pet?" Yes he asks while PETTING on Brown Dog

"Um." Blink.

"Well, um, you'd have to ask the Hearth."

"I mean, Brown Dog and Oak and Edie are here... but I get wanting one that's yours special-like..."

"So the HEARTH is in charge of pets? I guess that makes sense" He nods

"Well, she is in charge of all the domestic stuff... Chief might get consulted, too, but yeah. Kerri first."

"And you'll need to take good care of your pet. Make sure you feed them and clean up after them."

"Yeah, sucks to go hungry" he says as one who knows "you gotta hide the food for later and hope no one finds out and takes it"

"Oh, yeah. Always smart. Dad put a little fridge in my room so I could keep stuff..."

A distant look. "Don't really do it so much, anymore. Rivervale folk are REAL generous with food."

"I don't do it here either" He confides. "Mostly because I'd wake up and find it gone and Connor munching on his bed. NOT accusing, but he's got a great sniffer"

"I've never been told no when I asked. Not by anyone here. They're good people."

"okay. I'm gonna go find the Hearth. You want me to get you a snack while I look?"

She laughs. "Won't turn one down!"

And there's a KNOCK on the kitchen door

As Jack knocks that is..

Then peeks "Oh, she's not here. Let me see.. ah ha! " he gets something? "We have Rice Krispee treats." He takes one for himself and one for Dagmar

ANd he returns to offer it.

"Ooo.."

"The note says 'One per person and she'll KNOW' " He shivers "i ain't gonna test it"

Siv guides Piper in "You sure you're okay? You seemed.. spooked"

"Kerri has ways." Agreeably.

"SIV!"

"And Piper, heya!"

"SIV, THE BABY WAS BORN."

"I know!" Siv grins "Gerd called. CJ right? Clint James?"

"Uh-huh."

A knock at the Lodge door.

"What's the little bundle of joy like so far?"

"Oh, I'm - Clint?!" A HUGE grin. "She liked the name! Ahaha! Zane owes me a fiver!"

"Oooh you're wicked" Siv grins though

"Super sweet, but boy does he have lungs!"

Siv moves to the door and opens it "Yes?"

Adam.... has a job delivering pizzas? That's new. "Siv?!?" Startled.

She stretches. "Looks like I fell asleep here after tending the stables. Didn't think the couch was THAT comfy..."

A laugh at Dagmar, then she also seems a bit startled. "Adam? Oh, hi Adam!"

A big smile. "Piper! Hey."

"And Dag! Uh, they said I should bring this to you?" He steps in and offers Dagmar the pizza.

Blink. "I.. sure?"
