But there's no doubt it is Kerris' compulsion and Brekke's force that convince the wizard to lower his head and he says "Corpe Spirtum egress finitum"

and Adam feels dizzy, then he's dangling in the Chief's hands

His eyes sight is clearer, his hand hurts.

Brekke watches closely, waiting for a sign that the change has happened.

"Didi....."

"Sylvi, hold on to him!"

"Zane? It is done? You can tell?"

"Something happened.. but you're the Gwydion. Ask him if he's really Adam.." Zane says

"Oh, crap!" Sylvi says, realizing she has a Mage in her arms now.

The wizard gestures. "off.. me" And a burst of light

The Old Man finds Flyswatter's edge at his throat.

"Mm. Adam, are you back in your own body?"

Sylvi is blind.

"Sylvi!" Kerri yells.

Temporarily she hopes

But the wizard looks up to see a HALBERD at his throat

Sylvi startles and stumbles back, dropping the man.

Zane says "Okay, that's the wizard.. unless Adam learned a new trick"

Dagmar is quick, she steps on the man's chest to pin him down.

"Shit..shit...sorry, Mom...shit...."

"I think I dropped the finger...."

Piper dashes over as well, hitting the ground and grabbing at his hands - thinking maybe he can't work magic if he can't move them. At least one, if she can't hold both, and she bends the fingers back cruelly.

Kerri points at the Mage. "Sleep, now!"

Boot on his chest, blade at his throat.

And.. the wizard sleeps. It's a FORCED Sleep. ..unnatural.. but it's got him

Distrust, and she does not let go.

Nope. Not moving. She may have shaved some mangy beard hairs.

"Tie him up," Kerri tells Piper. "Keep an eye on him, Dagmar. Sylvi..."

She goes to check on her daughter.

"Bring me his finger, I have one here," Brekke says as she sets Adam carefully down. "Hold still," she advises him.

A nod, and she runs to the boathouse where she knows there are ropes. Bringing them back as fast as she can - she knows how to tie knots that are smooth and pleasant and will come free if needed. These are not the knots she ties on NotAdam.

Dagmar is grim, holding the sleeping man with a firm grip as Piper works.

Sylvi's blinking hard to try to get her vision back, Kerri hovering to see if she needs heatherbalm.

A loop around his neck, with a slipped knot there. Easy to tug if he starts to chant something... magicky.

"Somebody Find That Finger," Brekke says. "I do not want to heal him without it."

Kerri leaves Sylvi long enough to start searching.

And Sylvi's eyes clear

The finger found and brought to Brekke (presumably), she holds the fingers to his wounded hand.

And she tears the sleeve off Adam's other arm and uses it to bind his wounded hand and arm, murmuring verses about Fenris biting a hand.

Sylvi comes over and stands nearby, now that she can see again, ready to offer Spring magics if needed.

Dag has been told to guard, so....

Guard.

Piper shoots a look over at the battered looking Adam... and then away. She can't quite bear to see him. Instead, she focuses on the man, and scowls at him.

"Let me get him some water..." Sylvi hurries inside to fill a glass.

Dagmar will hear Piper mutter. "Water, huh. Where's Jonas? Turn him into a fish and let him just look at the glass."
