At the Barn, Tove wakes up to the smell of bacon.

And coffee, and eggs, and potatoes and onions...

Tove sniffs the air "mm?"

Raindrop whinnies softly. Silly horse, sleeps in the bed..

"Raindrop, my covers are not a stable" she rises

or tries to

"Hello? Who is home?"

"STAY IN BED!"

"I'm coming!"

The familiar tromp of Dagmar up the stairs. Oh yes, breakfast.

"Do I get a vote?" But she plops into the bed

"No vote!" Dag enters, with a tray. "I made breakfast."

"Oh my, why?" She says startled

"It's Mother's Day. Duh."

And she sets down the tray - the aforementioned eggs and bacon, home fries... and oh, a swedish tartine, with cream cheese and smoked salmon.

There are also some very foot-y cheeses that Dagmar has previously expressed a distaste for, though Tove is fond of.

"Oh! OH!" She beams "Mother's Day. I .." Tove laughs "Oh how wonderful"

"You even got the cheeses!"

"I had to hide them in the Lodge so they'd be a surprise."

"I mean, you can smell them a mile away..."

"I thought Kerri was doing something, so you fooled me!" She admits "I love this. I.." A smile "I'm deeply touched"

Blush-shrug-neckrub. "I mean, you're official now."

"So.. um."

"So, like, the internet said the fish thing was traditional for breakfast?"

"Yes, you're honoring my culture and heritage, and yours too. " She pats the side of the bed scooting "Your my daughter. If you want to tell folks, you're Scandinavian then so be it." A wink

"Well, I was a Larson..." She sits down on the bed.

"Son of Lars" A nod

"I put Red Hot in the eggs, so they might not go with the swedish stuff."

"Daughter of Jaymes. And Tove."

A grin and a side hug "Daughter of Jaymes and of Tove" A smile "And I LOVE red hot in my eggs."

"Yeah, I know you do."

"I love you so much honey" Tove says "And.." She tries it, this iss SOO good"

Possibly too much black pepper on the home fries, but Dagmar did okay!

Blush-shrug. "Glad you like."

The tartine.. mmm though the fries are a bit too peppery. She's not going to complain. This is her daughter. If things tasted like cardboard she would not complain. Fortunately, the peppery is the only flaw in another wise perfect meal so Gwydion's boon does not ping when she says "I love it, and the Tartine is amazing.. you've never cooked it before?"

"Well, it's not that much cooking..."

"I found a recipe online."

"Recipes are easy to get, the time effort and loving details deserve praise..and they make the meal. You want some of this?"

"Not the foot cheese."

"That's alllllll for you. I am so generous."

A bell like laugh "you are yes"

"Not the foot cheese then. Anything else? The salmon is... it's good!"

She does, however, steal a piece of bacon.

"I'm not sure how I feel about fish for breakfast."

A smile, pleased and Tove continues to eat "Okay, more for me then. But if you want more bacon... help yourself. Now, does mother day privilieges mean I get to ask you about your girlfriend?"

"Um. I.... yes?"

"Are we giving you two the space you need, or do you need us to offer food and drinks more often when she's over?"

"Oh... oh, you're fine! We can ask for food if we need it."
