Siv says "Well, " Ahem.. "Let's just say your daughter owes me."

Kerri had gone down the hall that leads to the laundry alcove. There's a pause, and she returns. "Owes you for what exactly?" Her tone is light enough but...oh, there's Mom energy there.

"Owes?"

"I exaggerate, I'm happy to help. She's visting Colton since I can handle things tonight" Siv says clearly not seeing a problem

A pause....and Kerri takes a slow, measured breath and nods. "I see. Thank you." And she goes back to the laundry.

"Aunt Kerri?" She says "It's not like she didn't tell you, I told her I'd pass it on.. did.. did I step wrong somehow? I was the one who told Sylvi I'd pass it on. She was very excited"

"Ooooo-kay. Siv, time for dishes."

"No, Siv. It's fine. I just...wonder if she's spending too much time dashing up there. And I hope the two of them are being...." She trails off a moment. "But...it is what it is. You're not doing anything wrong, Siv."

"I'm sure they're being careful. Your daughter's a smart one" Assurances

"Yes, you're right. Of course. Well...I suppose I need to do some shopping. Excuse me, ladies." Kerri opens a drawer to fetch out an obligatory mask, and heads out.

"Yeah, dishes." She hands Siv a towel.

Siv groans once she's gone, and looks to Dagmar "I thought it was okay. I thought they ..argh. Okay, turns out i owe Sylvi for getting her mom on edge"

Siv mutters "When will I keep my big mouth shut"

"Parents get weird about dating. Colton's okay, but Kerri's a mom." Shrug.

"Yeah." A nod "I guess it's just.. I don't know" She sighs "Maybe she's worried Sylvi will one day move permanent like to Colton... which would be a shame but you never know"

"Well, I mean, I bet it's tough. Jessica's moved out, and you too.." Frown. "Sylvi will probably go, too, eventually."

"I'm moving back as soon as I get my Fiona hood" Siv says "I mean, yes I'll sail and advanture, but this will be my home port. I've already said that to myfolks. Not sure why they're so certain I'll do the same as Jess" a pause "not that i could easy if I wanted"

"No?"

"What, go liberate a hold, and work my way up to Countess of a city? NOPE"

"Sis is a practical steady thinker.. I'd blow through the budget on a party" A grin

"Ah..."

"Dunno, me... like, what I kind of want I also don't want?"

"Like - maybe it'd be cool to be the Storm, right? But being the Storm would mean Chief wasn't..."

"Ah," Siv nods sadly, understanding "Aye. I'd want that to be a long way off, no offense to you as I'm sure you'd be a grand storm."

"Agreed."

"I also kind of want to help Nadeen find her own hold...."

"Oh she'll love that, bossing everyone around, giving people that 'oh you poor poor silly person you are so lucky I am here' look she gets" Siv says fondly "And .. you know, I tease, but I think she'd be decent at it, ruling I mean. She's already made some hard choices"

"She really wants to do right."

"And, like, I know plenty of decent unseelie folks."

"Uncle Olgar for example" She nods

"Exactly. Or Symon."

"Aye. Symon's a good lad. Though I know he'd hate the term" She ponders "When is HIS birthday do you know?"

(Sometime in Midsummer. He loathes being reminded of that! Why can't it be properly winter?)

SHe ponders "Need to get him something nice..maybe some material for his figurine work"

"June. Late."

"He's doing taxidermy now, I was thinking of getting him stuff for that."

"Gross." A pause "he'd love it"

"Dad's gonna make burgers for my birthday. You gonna be able to come?"

"I think so" She says "And you know I'll at least drop by for a bit. Burgers? Why does your dad do all the cooking OUT side and your mom do the cooking in?"

"Dunno. Them's the rules."

"Kings are strange folk" she says, then smile

"Yup!"

"Yeah, unless the baroness absotively forbids it, I'll be there... " A smile

"Great!"

"Hey, when did that magazine come in? March?"

"Yeah... why?"

"Well, then that would explain the new one that I saw on the table. Must be this month's" She dries

"OH!" Dagmar drops her dish back into the water, a small splash in her wake at the troll goes to see!
