"At last, I have defeated Dagmar Hammerstrike in battle" as the microwave dings in the kitchen, the peep joust over

"My honor!" A fist shake as she sinks ot her knees, defeated!

"...I wonder if they still taste good?"

"I have.. no idea.. " Siv says "In the interest of respect for your noble efforts- I will try a bite if you do"

"That's pure sugar that you've just tortured in a microwave," Kerri points out from where she's been witnessing. "If you eat it, you'll flay the insides of your mouth. Best to wait."

"What if we put it on ice cream? Ice cream's cold."

Siv grins at Kerri "I can't argue with her logic"

A dubious look at the girls...then a sigh and a shrug. "

"Who am I to argue with moments of inspiration. Go ahead." She gestures at the freezer.

"Peeps for the ice cream gods" Siv says

"Ooo... we could, like, drizzle chocolate syrup from their spear wounds!"

"We should really strive for realism" Siv agrees

A beleaguered sigh that she doesn't really mean, and Kerri gets out the chocolate AND raspberry syrup. "How you explain both colors, I'm not sure I want to know."

Dagmar collects bowls from the cupboard. "Kerri, you want ice cream, too?"

"It can be peep-less."

"No, thank you, hon. I'm good. So, Siv, what brings you today? The Peep Jousting finals?"

"Ooo..." Approval at the discovery of raspberry syrup. somewhat deflated peep warrior are place atop mounds of Neapolitan and decorated.

Bemused. "Proper funeral arrangements, I see."

"Ha, no didn't find out about that until she told me what i missed" Siv says "I had free time and since I thought i missed Easter here I thought I'd drop by after... oh my hey, Dagmar, you're getting to be not half bad at food art. Is food art a thing?"

"I dunno... might be?" She sticks in spoons, and carries the two bowls over. "To the victor!"

"Thank you" Siv says taking it, then looks to Kerri "Now, what's this I hear about an exploding egg?"

"Food art is definitely a thing," Kerri confirms as she gathers up some used dishrags for the wash.

"Oh, and yes, Margalita. She is...well...inventive. We had a few near misses, and one window needed to be replaced, but...well, I suppose it worked as planned," she says ruefully. "She was awfully proud of it."

"We need to hook her up with Betty."

"Bet they could, like, knock off Long Island."

Siv says "Sure glad I never got carried away when I was younger trying to impress folks with dangerous stunts"

LLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

She almost chokes on her ice cream!

"And oh yeah, Betty's into siege weapons, mix that with demolitions and yikes... "

"OW. Woman!"

"I'm sure you were perfectly behaved aboard ship in your childhood."

A lesser twinge at the obvious verbal irony.

"hhhm?" Siv says confused then blushes as she realizes "ah, right. You're the other Gwydion in the Lodge. Sorry about that"

"Yeah yeah." Grin-shrug. "Now, to put this peep out of its misery. Diiieeeeeeeeee!" She beheads it with her spoon.

Siv laughs "A clean kill" And she eats a scoop of her own, then seems to realize something.

"Mmmhmmm"

Kerri watches the experiment dubiously.

"Hearth, I almost forgot .. I have something for you" She says

"So...how does overcooked marshmallow taste?"

"Oh? You do?" Surprised.

"Oddly crunchy."

"Once you mix it with the ice cream not bad at all" She says "Oh and here it is... you're going to be so happy" she gets a basket of something "Okay, now credit where it is due I had help in the woods with Sir Sergei's hounds... as far as I know there is no camping in House Fiona's usual thing.. I think the Baroness just wanted fresh berries and what not... but while I looked for those, I found quite the coup"

She hands the basket to Kerri, then returns to her ice cream before it melts and waits to watch Kerri's reaction

A puzzled expression as she peers in the basket.

Morel Mushrooms! A prize, found only in the wild

"Ohhhhhh....ooo, lovely!" She carefully picks one up as if it were a gem, turns it to all angles.

"I know, I know, mom says always make sure mushrooms are what you THINK they are, but they sure look like Morels to me" she says excitedly

Brow-furrow, as she peers. "They're awful wrinkly..."

"They are indeed, at least to my eye, but I'll have the Chieftain verify before I cook them. She knows them better than I. Nicely done, Siv, thank you!" And she gives the girl a hug, carefully putting the morel back in the basket before she does so.
