"Well, I'll try to send her right back to sleep," Brenda says, and Kyle nods "You two have fun."

And they move to the door of the lodge and knock

Sylvi shoots Dagmar a look as the adults pass by. "This might get bad," she murmurs.

Within the Lodge, the dogs put up the welcome bark, and Kerri goes to open the door. "Ah. Kyle, Brenda. Please come in." A formal tension.

They do enter, Brenda looking about as if expecting Lily

Kyle says "Evening. " He notices the group "More Easter Prep?"

A frown. "Well, fuck it. Lily deserves better."

"Kyle, Brenda," Brekke echoes Kerri's greeting from her seat by the 'Fire. "We have recently finished with the activities." She indicates the colored eggs arranged on one table. "Lily is asleep upstairs."

"Chieftain" Klye says.

Brenda nods and curtseys "Chieftain, I'll try to get her right back to sleep but I want to talk to my daughter so she'll know how to behave herself here and understand we'er not deserting her"

Kerri has taken up a position near the kitchen but still in the room.

A furrowed brow from Brekke. "Lily has never misbehaved here that I am aware of. She has even participated with the other childlings tonight...do you see the egg she decorated? Her name is in front of it. The grey one."

Kyle moves to the egg, "Pleased to hear it. Mmm"

Brenda nods but..heads up the stairs as she said she would

"Kyle. You and your family have had a .... difficult and unique entry to the Dreaming. I know I have asked before but is there anything we can do to help?"

"Well, I am a bit worried if we need to stay clear of the lodge for a bit, for Lily's sake, it might deny us access to the fire." A frown troubled "A bit of dross to take care of Brenda would be appreciated"

Frank nods. "The Lodge cares for all those in the Barony, Kyle."

"Well then, many thanks" he says "I am curious how the rest of you handle your unseelie sides"

A deep breath. He glances at Brekke and Kerri.

"For myself.... I descend to a very primitive nature. My .... concerns.... seem to be to eat, for combat, and.... um, more.... basic, primal needs." He lavenders. "Happily it lasts only a few days."

Kyle nods

When Brenda heads upstairs, Kerri follows. "I'll show you which room...."

Brenda says "just directions will be fine, Hearth. but thank you" As they go up

Brekke shifts uncomfortably at the question. "I do not cope with my unseelie side well. Thus, I avoid it as much as possible."

"I didn't know we had sought it out" He admits

True!

"I insist," Kerri says simply and politely...if a bit coolly.

Frank puts a hand on Brekke's shoulder.

Brekke considers Kyle. "I do not believe you did seek it out. I am surprised it has come upon you at this time of year, in fact. Has there been some...trauma?"

Upstairs, Kerri shows Brenda to Siv's room and very gently raps her knuckles on the door. "Lily?" she says in a quiet tone. "Your mother is here. We're coming in." She doesn't wait for a reply before opening the door, as she likely wouldn't be able to hear it anyway.

Brekke briefly rests her hand atop Frank's.

"No, no. I admit I didn't care for how the Hearth went at my wife..." (True) "but nothing traumatic" (Also true) "Honestly chieftain, the most alarming thing was the moment where it sounded like she might TAKE Lily away, but it turned out that part was a misunderstanding"

And Lily blinks, then smiles "mom?"

Brenda moves to her daughter and scoops her into her arms, "Hey, baby. Are you having a good time here?"

Lily nods, trusting the nod to be felt as much as seen.

Brekke says simply, "We try not to separate children from parents unless the situation is extreme. I do not think this is the case here...but you will need to figure out how to make room for her in your unseelie times. As the Mountain says, we can guide you with that. I am sorry we did not do so better before now."

Kerri steps out of the room. "I'll be downstairs if you need me."

"Well, now that we know about it, we'd prefer to handle it ourselves. " Kyle says "Though we thank you for your help"

Brenda nods, and waits for the door to be closed.

Kerri does not close the door, but she does go downstairs.

Brenda whispers to her daughter something

Brekke gives an eyebrow. "How do you propose to do so, Kyle?"

Kyle says "By correcting my mistake, Chieftain. In this case making sure Lily gets more attention" True "It seems she felt rather lonely. Unusual for a sluagh I thought, but I guess there's a balance between giving her solitude as her kith demands while still tending to a childling's needs. We'll find it." True

Gerd is behind Kyle, and looks at the Chieftain and MOuntain and makes wiggly finger zap zap motions trying to suggest or remind of something?

Brekke nods slowly. "I would like to help you determine how this happened...." And then gives Gerd an eyebrow at the wiggly fingers, a yes, I know expression. Then back to Kyle, "May I try a cantrip to determine this?"

"Frankly, Chieftain, I'm not sure about that." Kyle says "How much influence does this give you over me? I've..tried to be reasonable, but... I feel like we've been intruded on and judged tonight"

"Understandable. The cantrip I am considering will have you answer questions honestly and perhaps beyond what you yourself remember. I understand you say this happened after a sleep, so I may be able to find out what happened during that sleep. There are witnesses here..." she indicates the others. "And we can wait until your wife returns before doing this if you prefer to have her witness as well. I give you my word that I will not intrude beyond trying to determine the cause."

"I don't understand. You can already tell when I'm lying. Why a cantrip? Why not just ask the questions? The Cantrip will let me remember what happened WHILE I slept?"

"I can tell if you know you are telling an untruth. If you do not know the truth, I cannot determine that."

"And yes...it should let you remember. The knowledge will not remain hidden from you, as it is now. Will you permit this?"
