Connor is in his PJs now as well - perhaps a backwards or inside out shirt, but if asked, he'll insist it was intentional. And takes up a spot on the floor where he can lean again a large leg. Or, if Gerd is joining them, he flops over against her using the troll girl as a pillow.

Gerd does.. and she smiles as she is pillowfied

The story over, Gerd stirs awake and realizes she's still a pillow

I should put him to bed, but..ah heck with it She lays there

Kerri returns as storytelling is winding down and finds a number of slumbering childlings. She helps get them to bed, putting Lily in Siv's room for the night.

Gerd yawns a bit 'How'd it go?"

A tension. "I may have stepped on some toes and hooves. It may get bumpy, yet." She speaks quietly.

Frank has also helped with the childlings, and brought Kerri her choice of beverage; he knows where the stash is.

Gerd stops "Can I help? And no I don't mean flash them into a lake'

Kerri makes sure all the childlings are well out of hearing range before taking the whiskey with a grateful look to Frank. "I'm not sure, Gerd. Chieftain," she says, turning to Brekke, "they've gone suddenly unseelie. It's an odd switch, this close to Beltaine, but there it is. And I think it's their first time. Kyle has become opportunistic and manipulative, and Brenda is letting him call the shots, deferring to him on everything. They've both been using Brenda's sex appeal to manipulate Kyle's clients in online meetings...and they've been letting the kids take care of themselves. Suits Adam just fine, apparently, but Lily's not ready for it."

Brekke frowns and sighs. "We have taught them of unseelieness, but...well, not all of us weather it as well as others."

Gerd says "Oh my gosh, she's seeing her husband as a ladder to climb ? And he's seeing her as a tool to use?" The wilder girl says "Is.. is that healthy?"

Kerri blinks at Gerd. "Well...yes, exactly. And no, it's codependent at best. And it doesn't make either of them more likable." A sigh. "I may have seriously overstepped my bounds, there. I told them we'd like to have Lily stay with us until they get their priorities realigned." She knocks back the whiskey.

Frank exhales. "Are Adam and Lily in danger?"

"My therapist would have a field day with this" Gerd mutters, but then gets attentive again at Frank's question.

"Not physical danger, no. But Lily is certainly feeling neglected." She indicates the tear-drop decorated egg. "And it looks as though she tolerated close contact with others in order to get storytime with you, Mountain. That's not exactly standard sluagh behavior, as far as I know."

An agreeing grunt.

"WHY are they Unseelie?" Gerd asks confused "I mean, it's close to BELTAINE for crying outloud"

"I'm not sure." Kerri frowns. "I tried to ask...Brenda said something about taking a nap, and then waking up with this wonderful new way to make more money."

A pause and she adds, "She did mention it was right after Adam got into some sort of trouble, and that it was upsetting."

"Trouble?" from Brekke. "What trouble would this be?"

"Mm. I was told the boy showed up here.... well, and Zane, drunk. Slept it off, work up the next day for the Greening."

"His parents were here, heard about it and were, predictably, not happy with him."

"Mm," Brekke nods. "Yes, I recall that. And I saw them speaking with him. I got no sense of unseelie from them at that time."

"It must have been right after that, then. Lily said it's been a few days," Kerri points out. "But...I don't think Adam being drunk would be a great enough trauma for them to slip unseelie....?"

"If so, they're in for a rough time." Dry.

"Given my own eating disorder I am not leaping int othe world of booze anytime soon even when I do get legal" GErd mutters then says "Okay. So..Adam does something stupid, they go Unseelie? Makes no sense... why would they be Seelie at ALL if that were the case?"

"Hm." Brekke nods.

Kerri gives Gerd a look. "Now, be fair."

"Okay, Adam is good when shit hits the fan," She admits "And he does care."

"And I suspect there's a good deal to his life you don't know about, where he does get things right. However," Kerri goes on, "I am beginning to think this may be one of those occasions where....oh...oh, I just realized. Adam is perfectly happy with the current arrangement. Parental distraction suits him just fine."

Brekke sighs. "Well, that does not surprise me, I admit."

Frank nods understanding and agreement.

"Anyway," Kerri says, "I might have screwed it up badly. I know I'm not welcome back in the house right now. And they may show up at any moment to demand Lily come home. And I think at that point it's in your hands, Mountain." An apologetic look to Frank.

"Wait, that works" Gerd says "We want them to meet the Mountain, don't we?" She looks "I mean, uhm a simple Omen on one of them might tell more about this? or .. for that matter a willowhisper on them directly?"

"Mm." Brekke's brows furrow. "I have whispered that way before. I do not like doing it. It feels...wrong. But in this case, I would try."

"Well, the other option is to try it on Lily and hope somehow she saw more than she knew?"

Gerd blushes at something 'uh.. am I overstepping getting in on the Hearth, Storm, Mountain talk? I just want to help. Lily is one of Connor's friends"

Brekke shakes her head at Gerd. "I have no objection."

Relived look "Thanks. "

Frank nods his agreement again. "

Outside the Lodge, Sylvi has taken over egg-hiding. Certainly there will be a lot of chimerical eggs that appear by morning, but it's important to hide the non-chimerical ones, too...some for kids to take home to show their parents.

And so Sylvi might be the first to see Mr. and Mrs. Thomas approaching. Geez, her dress looks a bit 'sexy stepford'

Dagmar is helping! "Probably shouldn't put them too, high, right?"

"Oh, put some up high," Sylvi says to Dagmar. "Flickerflash and good climbers and Gimmix and whatever. And...oh, hey, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas. " Sylvi nods courteously to them.

A grunt as she glances over. Judgement-eyebrow at the cleavage.

Mr. Thomas nods politely "Sylvi, Dagmar. Pardon us. Is Lily still asleep?"

"The little kids are all sleeping, yeah." She reaches up to hide the egg in a knot-hole.

"We waited until after they conked out to start hiding things."

Sylvi's a bit tense...she knows there's something going on, though she's not sure what.
