Jack Flap eyes Connor's egg, "It's brown like tree bark, and you have a bark too, so it's very fitting"

“Don’t worry, Eggy-wegg. You’ll be the prettiest chicken one day.” He vows.

“Eggs could be chickens but they’re not. So they’re kinda like... dead ghosts of chickens.” He offers out to Lily, hoping to cheer her.

"It's a really honest egg, Connor," Sylvi offers.

"Up to thinks?" Kerri coaxes.

Lydia sees DAGMAR looked a bit up set and finishes a new egg and offers it to her "See if you like that?" it's got a horse on it! Kind of

"yes, father has thinks lately, how to make more money from clients. usually by having mom dress in less while he's video conferencing" Lily says "I eavesdrop"

“Ooo. That’s cheating.” Connor remarks.

An alarmed blink. "Oh. Lily, that's.... and you feel that you've been overlooked?"

"Oh, nice!" Approving of the kinain's egg, but keeping an ear on the whispering.

Frank frowns, confused about what he's hearing.....

“But I use Buddy to sell things at the store...” his ear twitches up, then down again. “So I guess fair is fair.”

Somewhat talking to himself as he listens in, dabbing a brush at an egg.

Lydia says "Thanks"

Lily "Well, the food is served but now it's just 'get it yourself mommy is busy' but despite feeling like an unloved orphan, there are down sides" she explains

"and I do miss the stories" Lily adds

Kerri looks back at Frank again, then says to Lily, "Well, I know that Mountain Frank reads excellent stories for Connor and Jack...perhaps tonight you can stay and listen to the storytime?"

“Charlotte’s web has animals and a pig but a spider too.”

"yes but, well, mother always tells them best," A blush at the sentimentality of it, "But.. that would be a nice substitute thank you"

" I do like Charlotte" Lily adds

Lydia smiles "I love that story too."

Frank nods. "I'd be happy to." a soft rumble.

Jack Flap says "The He Chief is a Good reader!"

"Oh, certainly, just a substitute, for tonight." Kerri stands again.

"Everybody, you've done a beautiful job."

"Now, if you wish to take your eggs home with you, you certainly may. If you're coming back tomorrow for the egg hunt, please consider donating one of your eggs to be hidden. And of course, there will be the egg tourney!" she says with a wink.

Then she goes to speak quietly with Frank and Brekke. "If you two don't mind, I want to go and speak with Lily's parents. Sally Mae and Brogan can manage the clean-up."

"I will go with you," Brekke starts to stand.

Lucjan &  Lauge grin "We'll donate both of ours" //"I'm keeping the brass looking one" Malcolm says //Lydia says "I'm going to let them hide the rose"

Kerri, however, shakes her head. "If you go, Chieftain, it looks like a punishment. I want to hear them out, first."

Frank nods. "That.... did I hear Lily correctly? That did not sound like Kyle."

"No, it didn't," Kerri agrees.

Sylvi helps with sorting out which eggs are being donated to hide and which are for competition.

Brekke sits again. "Tell me what you discover, Hearth."

Kerri gives a nod, then gives Sylvi a thumbs-up before she goes to speak with Sally Mae in the kitchen prior to leaving.

Gerd kid wrangles helping some kids get home

Sally Mae gets her marching orders and nods

Brogan blushes... and nods. His own eggs were quite lovely

He whispers to Lily, "I'll keep track of where some are hidden so we can find 'em next month."

Lily gives a dark lipped smile at Connor

Sylvi gives Gerd a grateful smile for her kid wrangling.

Gerd returns then whispers "Holy snot, do we really have like 8 childlings around this barony now? I remember when I was the only one..I togail and BOOM? "

To Sylvi

Sylvi gives her wide eyes. "Hey, I used to be the only childling around for MILES!"

Jack Flap pokes Connor at Sylvi's outburst and says "They're talking ancient history back when Sylvi was a kid"

He looks fascinated "Were there dinosaurs?"

"Hey!" Sylvi says with mock outrage, then sticks her tongue out and crosses her eyes at the boys.

Gerd snickers "Gather round the fire, Children and maybe Granny Sylvi will tell you of the era of isolation"

"Oh, wow." Sylvi rolls her eyes. The Chieftain chuckles

Frank seems amused too.
