Connor giggles, but it's friendly, not mocking.

"me next..." Malcolm charges...

Margilita rolls her eyes.

Jack rejoins Connor and elbows him friendly like

"Ow, my riblets!" He chortles.

Sally Mae peeks out "Someone asking for riblets?"

Ears perk WAY UP

Jack says "We are now?" Eager hopeful eyes

The twins agree

Malcolm is declared to be "Truthpoker" and he's good with that and bounces to vote for Riblets as well

"Looks like ribs or ribblets are in, Sally Mae"

That last from Torin.

"Right on it, Skald" SHe says and gets to work. Soon the smells of MEAT are drifting out

"Meat, Meat, Meat! It's the best thing to EAT! It can't be BEAT! It makes my tum COMPLETE! And puts dancin' in my FEET! And... um... um..."

"It's the best TREAT!" He crows triumphantly.

Jack actually hoofs to it.

Torin strums his mandolin to some music that might match that chant, and soon other childlings, having been named, get into it

"Okay okay" Sally Mae declares "Food won't cook any faster with music and chants urging it on"

"Are you SURE?" He looks curious... and maybe mischievous. "Maybe Mayhem Makes Meals Magically Munchable... 'Mmediately."

"Too much mayhem and no meat for the mayhem makers will be had" She waves a tong "Comprendhe amigo?"

He siiiiighs and flompfs to the ground. "My life is oooooooooooover."

"Terrible" Malcolm the Eshu says then "Can I have your stuff?"

Jack shoots a look at Malcolm, then says "It's okay, Connor. I'm here to share your overlife"

"Are you dead too? We could be Zombuddies."

"Brainz?" he asks

"Graaaaainz!"

"Ribbleetzzz" Jack says even though it doesn't rhyme

From the kitchen some muttering.

But finally, a cowbell is rung. Where did she get the cowbell? who knows And out she comes with plates and sets them up "Gather up, sit down... and I'll bring out the food"

Torin rises to help "Let me help with that, Sally Mae."

She smiles, and nods

Seeing as it seems a LOT of childlings are here

Connor tugs at Sally Mae's shirt hem

"Yes, sweetie?" She does look down

"I don't -like- Ribs. They're too fresh." He looks concerned.

A sidelong glance around, checking the shadows spots.

She leans down "Well, I'm afraid you're out of luck. the Week old pasta is for Lily. Forgive me?" A tossle of his hair/ears

"Oh, never ever." He looks relieved.

A smile "Kindpaw, huh?"

And she lays out Riblets and greenbeans or peas (You gotta have one) and mashed Potatoes

He looks at his hands and shrugs with a bashful grin. "They're kinda hands and kinda paws, that must be what it means."

"mmm sit down"

"I know sit!" And he sits. Wag wag wag.

She rolls her eyes and says "Peas or Green beans, Connor?"

He suggests slyly, "Potatoes are a vegetable."

"Well then I'll give you a few peas and some green beans to keep the potatoes company thing shall I?" She starts to get a half sample of each. and sees which makes him recoil more..and she'll take that half out.

His nose wrinkles up at the beans...

And so peas.. and she takes back the beans

"Sally Mae pea'd on my plate!" He whispers to Jack with barely stifled giggles.

Jack breaks out laughing!
