A dubious look from Brekke. "Would you?"

(that to Ettsie)

"Nah, though I might just start kissing his neck right here..ha.." Then she sees Dagmar "Dame Dagmar. How are you?"

Brekke clears her throat and sips her coffee.

"Uh. Fine."

"Need me to close an eye and pretend to sleep again?" the old woman offers with a smile

"Um." A frown.

A sigh "I honestly don't mean to make you uncomfortable, Dame. Regret that I seem to" True

"It's fine." Ding.

An eyebrow at Dagmar. "Ettsie, do you wish to stay, or do you wish an escort home?"

"Oh. I'm pretty good either way Chieftain. I understand if you would feel more comfortable iwth me clearing up some space for others who might be in need" An opening

"I'm gonna go get some food... anybody need anything from the kitchen?"

"At the moment, there are none in need. The choice is yours," she says to Ettsie. Then to Dagmar, "No, thank you." She settles again in her chair by the 'Fire.

"I'm good." Etsie says

To Dagmar

"..kay..."

Dag is off to the kitchen, bustling around.

Brekke is looking over the scroll from Siv again.

In the kitchen, Kerri grins. "Hello, Dagmar." She is covering fresh bread loaves in waxed linen cloths.

A little exhale of relief. "Hi Kerri. Can I help?"

"Sure, can you put these on the shelf there?" She notes the sigh. "Everything okay?"

"Oh, yeah. Horses are good." She takes the tray.

"Dad's shortening his hours, so that'll help."

"Ah, that must reassure you."

"Chief, maybe I should go" Etsie says "I seem to piss off the wilder crowd. It's.. that's not the kind of old fart I wanna be" True

"It does. I'm worried about him and Tove. The news says old people are more susceptible..."

"Hm?" Brekke blinks at her, then looks past her to the kitchen door. A sigh. "I do not think that is entirely true, but...well, if you wish to go, I will walk you back." She rises and puts the scroll carefully away.

"No no.. whatever your reading I think it's making hyou smile. No need to cheat yourself of that." She says "mm or not just smile? Mix?"

"A mix, yes," Brekke nods. "I think Siv is doing well, but she said she thought she understood why we sent her away...and we did not intend to send her away. It is troubling."

Kerri passes Dagmar the last tray of bread. "Well, both of your parents are hearty. And they are both younger than...well, younger than me, to be blunt." She grins. "I think they'll be fine, but it's good to be careful."

"If they get sick, can the fire help them?"

"Oh, that's daughters for you," the old woman says "Teenage girls... they want to be wildfree and put one over and you...and they also want to know where the hell you are when that you actually let them do it. She's going to second guess you- a lot. And whatever role she puts you in, it's not going to be a comfortable fit"

A sigh from Brekke. "I suppose that is true. It is difficult."

"I think the fire can help," Kerri nods, "plus cantrips and other things. We're all working hard on making sure we can fight this thing, Dagmar, and as fae we have the advantage of some resources that others don't have. Try not to worry too much."

A quiet nod.

"Which..." she adds "...I know is not easy."

"I know a bit about your reputation, CHieftain. You're a liberator, a warror, a ruler... probably got a whole albulm worth of songs about you or could have. If I were to guess, mother has been the most rewarding... and probably among the most stressful of all those."

"Not that motherhood is all a woman can give to the world" She snorts "THAT sort of nonsense is.. well, nevermind that. You know what i mean and the difference"

Brekke looks a bit uncomfortable at the praise, but nods about the rewards of motherhood. "Siv's childhood was mostly in the Dreaming. It...I have some memories, but more a sense of what it was like. And...yes...rewarding."

"Hope I do see some corona nightmares. Will be satisfying to smash them."

"I think you're right," Kerri says to Dagmar. "You should talk to Sir Carawyn about that. He could tell you some of how it went when he fought one."

"Well, for what it's worth, starting around age 24 and up, your daughters will begin to realize you had some good ideas. At 30 plus they'll realize you were a darn genius" Etsie smiles

"At least in some areas"

A nod. "Cool."

Brekke chuckles slightly at Ettsie. "Well, as long as they do not cast me as the villain forever, I will be satisfied."

"No no, that would normally be your daughter in law. Your'e good" Etsie grins

"You know, Chief.. I had a troll friend who had FOUR Kids... and I can tell you, she had some challenges..." And..she begins to relate to the much younger woman the exploits and trials of her old troll friend. While Storytelling isn't her passion, she's pretty good at it.

And it may while away sometime

"Ha." Brekke nods.

And she settles in to listen to some of the satyr's stories.
