Sir Carawyn comes in wounded in the morning. He cleans his blade.

The sidhe of Banner House Truthbranch makes sure his boots aren't too dirty. "Is anyone here?"

"Here!" A voice from the kitchen, and then Kerri comes out, drying her hands on a dishrag. "Sir Carawyn, good m-- ...oh! What happened?" She ushers him to the balefire. "Sit, please."

"Careful, I dont' think I have an illness but the wounds might be infected. I was...in a fight with a plague chimera" He has a beak wound ,a BIG beak to be sure

Fortunately, Kerri knows how to clean this stuff out from wounds, certain materials of chimerical nature can kill chimerical bacteria.. if that makes sense.

Carawyn seems a bit dazed "The thing came in the form of a giant crow or raven... I guess enough people typo COVID as Corvid that it got into the dreaming's head thaat..well you get the idea" The hole is dangerously close to getting through hsi chest to a lung

"Ah. I was expecting this to start. Hang on a moment." She hurries back to the kitchen, adding, "Don't move too much."

"Definitely not" He obliges.

She returns a few moments later. "This is going to look...and probably feel...rather uncomfortable, but I promise you it will help." She sets down a vial with a brownish-greyish substance in it. It kind of...oozes in the bottle, almost as if it's alive. "Here, undress enough for me to help." She assists him with his (armor/shirt/?).

Armor, thin chain, now with a hole.

And he slides it off. Even the ugliness of the wound can't really dim sidhe beauty. Rather, it's perfection violated.

"This can be repaired...." she assures him.

A rather set expression. She is decidedly ambivalent about sidhe beauty.

"Thank you, the important thing is no innocents will be hurt by that nervousa." A breath "I think a teenage girl's fears of losing her grandmother were manifest."

"Right...let me clean this off, first." A fresh cloth, clean water, dabbing carefully.

"I did not even think to ask if you were victorious. I'm glad to hear it."

"There'll be more of these, most likely."

"Yes, it's going to possibly be a problem" he says

The door swings open "I want to know what's to be done about this outrage" Cool, crisp, commanding, yet ired. A Wilder Varich has entered the building.

Finally, the wound is clean enough, and she takes the vial. "Right... don't let this disturb you... and try not to move." She tips about a tablespoon of the strange liquid into the wound...and it starts to foam and bubble and grow in a most unnerving way, much like expanding construction foam. It fills the hole and tickles unnervingly.

"I will not stand for..." Nadeen blinks as she sees this going on "Oh. You're busy"

Carawyn doesn't move... "Well, that's... different" He says of the sensation

"In a moment, Baroness." Kerri is clearly preoccupied.

Nadeen sighs and folds her hands, ready to be' outraged' when she has an audiance

"It's based off of a chimerical fungus," Kerri explains. "It'll expand and seek out any remnants of infection in the wound...and then it should start to dry and receded. That's when it can be drawn out."

"Brilliant" Carawyn admits

The fungus does its work... with tenacity.

"I'm just glad it seems to be working," Kerri says, focusing on the wound. "No redness developing...." she murmurs with approval.

Satisfied, she nods, then looks to Nadeen. "You were saying?"

"They're closing the Sadie Hawkins dance!" SHe says offended and vocal about it "It's an outrage, they were already delaying it and now it's gone entirely! It's a cheat, and a theft from our agency as your husband would say. We are young. Resistant. We should have our dance." Then in a lower voice "Hearth, Dagmar may use this as an excuse to ...hide if we don't have the dance"

And she bites her bottom lip looking far more distressed about that than her agency.

A bemused look that the Hearth quickly tries to cover. "Well, I am glad that you have thought out the reasons so completely." And manipulatively. "I can tell you that I've already spoken to the Chieftain about this. If we can sort out a way of minimizing contagion, and especially of not bringing home any viruses to susceptible family members, then we will be hosting a smaller Sadie Hawkins dance here. Does that suit?"

And Kerri gets hugged!

Then the Varich blushes "Yes, that will do, Hearth, thank you"

"Actually" Nadeen says "I.. have an idea.. if you have a moment?" She says offering a private talk (And a way off screen) "Involving my using soveriegn to help block the Virus"

"Really? Interesting...yes, I'd like to hear about this. Sir Carawyn, I'd like you to rest by the fire for a time. Can you do that while we go speak?"

She doesn't say anything about the impulsive hug.

"Of course" he says with a smile "Thanks again, hearth"

"I am just glad it worked. You were my guinea pig, Sir Carawyn." Is she lying? Hard to say.

Carawyn looks at the fungus "Well, my personal banner is the guinnea pig rampant."

She gathers up the materials she used to clean the wound, and of course the vial of ugly stuff.

"Baroness, let's speak in the kitchen. I have bread to make."

An approving grin and nod at Carawyn's response.

Then she leads the way into the kitchen.

Nadeen nods "I'm going to be handed a job during this." She resigns herself "I can tell" And into the kitchen she goes

"Inevitably." And they are gone.
