"mom, language" Lily says. She has joined Connor

"Snow's a chimera. Um. A dream creature? And Miss Primrose is an inanimae.. so.. like, a fae soul in an object instead of a person."

"Well, I learned about the doll" Mrs Thomas says "But jumping Jehoshaphat"

"Lots of things, yeah."

Snow grins "Not al lChimera are as smart or cute as I... and not all of them like fruit. So feel free to keep extra fruit for me. You should not strain yourself" ADORABLE eyes

"You're hopeless."

Connor has poured a cup of tea and passed out snacks, the aged ones to Lilly and he nibbles on his rice crispy treat. His tail wagging gently as he whispers with the girl.

The sluagh smiles as HE whispers too

"She is cute though" Mrs. Thomas says "Thank you, Sam. Say, waht is your fae name again?"

"Dagmar." She smiles.

"IT's pretty" Mrs. Thomas says

"Either one is fine, though." She rumples her hair. "Yeah. I like it."

"And Connor is Connor?" She asks

"Yeah, Connor is Connor."

"You can also call me Buddy, if you like." He gives her a smile. "I only have one life, which isn't fair because Cats get NINE."

"Nadeen is really her mortal middle name... Siv is just Siv..."

"Cats have opinions" Snow adds

"Oh, just because odin caught your tail that one time..."

"Rude cat, tails are special"

Lily looks at Connor "maybe your death will be heroic, like dogs in movies?" Not teasing, honest interest "Quality not quantity?"

He ponders this for a moment. "I won't fight the bear, though. I like bears. But I could be a hero, sure, 'specially if they write songs about me?"

Lily nods "Maybe there will be a viking funeral for you, as you live at the lodge?"

"And you could make marshmallows!"

"Nobody is dying. Won't let it."

Mrs. Thomas "Lily, could we not talk about DEATH so much?"

"Sluagh, ma'am."

"We could," Lily says "I guess..."

"Take some getting used to, " Mrs. Thomas admits

"I learned all about it from Disney." He responds, honestly.

"Sluagh like old things. I'll bring Symon over next time, for sure."

Lowering his voice to whisper unheard to Lilly, he says, "You should come to the Lodge, I found a dead squirrel once. I like 'em better when I can chase them, but it still smelled really interesting, different like. Dagmar the Just wouldn't like it, and Miss Kerri said no more bringing wild things home even if they're not moving I bet, so I burried it in under an acorn tree."

"Symon will be welcome then, tahnks, Dagmar." The satyress says "This has been a wonderful shock to us all"

"Oh, I bet! I was really weirded out by everything when I changed, and it was just me..."

"I imagine the extra height was strange. I have to adjust things for Kyle now"

Lily says "oh I like some disney things... malificent is bootiful"

"Being strong, too."

"I broke a lot of stuff as a fledge."

"Mm Kyle did break the head board" Mrs Thomas muters

"I bet no one is as 'cited as Adam." He pipes up innocently. "How nice it must be to have everyone be sparkly, almost as good as sparkling himself."

Dag frowns a little.

"Doesn't seem very fair, does it?"

Mrs. Thomas says "he wants to be a changeling? " As if this is news to her

"Watching everyone else have fun is nice too." He offers, and it's unclear if this is a fib or something he really means. Maybe both?

Lily says "Envy shall forge him into a dark prince, and the land shall shiver..."

"Lily, please" Mrs. Thomas says

"Well. kinain are different, because they can't do the same things. But they can also handle stuff changelings can't."
