"Yes'm. Just me, but taller."

"Pookas HATE rice crispies." He says, muffled from his bundled up coat.

A grin.

"That'd be real nice, thanks. And, um, could you make hot water? For tea?"

"Sure, tea's not big on the menu here but I have the material .I thought you prefered soda" She says going int othe kitchen with a trot

"The tea is for Lily."

And yes, she adds "Well, I remember something about pooka not telling the truth so I'm going to offer these rice crispies and dr. peppers while I make the tea"

"It's okay, there are no baby cows in it." He shakes the packet of herbal tea, shicka-chika-chika, before handing it to the nice lady.

"Pooka.. well.. they're creative, yeah." Gently.

She takes the tea and works with htat.

A cold can of Dr. Pepper is prepared

"Well, trolls like Dr. Pepper..."

"I'll make a note of it" She laughs

"I like Dogtor Pupper..." He attempts, taking off the hat so that his ears can prick up freely.

Peering around the room with interest, his nose sniffing away.

"I should bring Symon over, too, sometime..."

"Please do, I..." they both get dr. Peper cans and treats

"Oh my. Honey this food you're carrying doesn't look fresh"

"No ma'am. It's for Lily."

"Ish goob." He nods through a mouthful of sticky rice crispy.

"You want lily to eat rotten food?" Mrs Thomas says appalled

A whisper from the kitchen doorway

"...she's a sluagh."

"I mean... sluagh like old things? And fresh food makes them sick..."

Lily comes in, so she can be heard "is what she says, mom. mis prim says so too."

"Wait, I... I've been starving my daughter?" mrs Thomas moves to her little girl and looks at Dagmar horrified. Oh this one hits the the Satyr emotions

"Hey, Lily."

"Well, you didn't know? There's lots of new stuff..."

He moves over and pats the mom on her arm lightly. "It's okay. They didn't feed me for weeks when I first showed up, and I'm fine." A shy smile at the girl. "Hi."

Mrs Thomas is crying and bends down to squeeze her daughter "i'm a terrible mother I..."

Lily has to use squirm to wiggle free a bit "it's okayy mom, listen to them.. it's okay. you didn't know."

A little cough as she awkwardly stands by.

"I think the tea is burning." He also looks awkward and uncomfortable in solidarity with Dagmar

"oh the ..the tea yes." The satyress wipes her eyes "Sorry I'm,.. still trying to adapt. Cornellious says this is part of me now." She moves to the tea

He thumps onto the floor and wiggles his fingers in a shy little wave to Lily. "Hi."

"Corne-... Professor Wayburton?"

"Yeah, satyrs run hot and cold. Big emotions."

"Yes, he's been very helpful in letting me adapt" A sniff "Told me how I needed outlets for my passion."

"Oh yeah, satyrs even have their own specials oaths..."

"An oath? " Confusion "For poetry?"

"Oh, no.. Oaths are, well... magic promises, basically."

"So, like, when Jaymes adopted me? He did the mortal paperwork, sure, but then he Oathed, so I'm really his."

"you need to be careful mom, dad too" Lily says but sniffs at the scent of rotted food and tea

"But, like, there's a special Satyr Truehearts, Zane said."

"I met your father once," Mrs. Thomas says "Very quiet man. I didn't see him as a troll then mind you, but when he did talk? it was about you"

She purples. "Well. Um. He's a good dad."

"He seems to be, he's certainly a proud dad. I'll ask about these specail oaths when I get the chance"

"I've just the ne oath, really - to be a daughter, yeah? But you shouldn't take any until you get your name."

Snow is trying to reach a suspended basket where there are oranges.

Mrs. Thomas hands her one "here, cut monkey pet you have"
