Dirk looks up at Dagmar with a grin , and a black eye "I am a bad ass"

He believes it

"How you?"

"Good enough. Working on Yule stuff."

"Yeah? Crafting the presents?"

"Yeah. Got time, you know?"

"Yeah. I hear ya. " He nods "I gotta get Anne Marie something"

"Yeah?"

"Yeah, she's like..not abitch"

"Yeah, can see that."

"So, like... she cooks, right? Maybe like a really wicked cleaver?"

"With a human bone handle?"

"Um. Maybe, like, an antler one? Or some fancy weird hipster wood?"

"Yeah She does like some of thath ipster stuff" HE sighs 'No taste, boggans"

"Well, not everyone can be a redcap."

"Yeah... " Dirk says

"What's going on since I've been busy? I know Nadeen got sained.. I was there, but after that..." A shrug

"Um. She's staying. Folks went to check out the new freehold."

"Wwait, there's a new hold? "

"Yeah, dragon blowback."

"So... does Nadeen know about this?"

"Not yet, I don't think."

He grins "She's gonna blow a gasket"

"Oh yeah."

"This could be fun. Think we'll get to watch ? Ooo can I be the one to tell her?"

"Nope."

"AH come on.. I've had a great day, that would be a cherry on top"

"Yeah. Nope."

A huff

The door opens, Nadeen comes in a great mood, "First day as a Liaison. It's really promising."

"Yeah? How did it go?"

"OH wonderful, I think I can really make a difference here. I take notes I think should be broguht to the chieftain's attention, I pass on her wishes. I can stand in for ceremonies she finds tedious" Nadeen says

"Oh yeah, Chief is not a fan of ceremonies."

"Exactly, where as I am. I do need to visit .. oh dear," She eyes Dirk "Dare I ask who gave you the black eye?"

"No one gave it to me" he says "I won it fair and squre"

"Whatever" SHe says then turns back to Dagmar "how goes? THe hold seems relatively quiet"

"We got a lot of folks out investigating dragon fallout. Some troll lodge thing?"

"Troll lodge? " She says "That farm I'm supposed to pretend I've never heard of because I'm a noble?"

"Different one, but yeah."

Dirk squirms

"The Dragon ate trolls, right? But then he kept them in him, Vali said. Like, for power? And by killing him, a bunch of magic and troll souls and stuff got released. So Chief and folks are investigating."

She very subtly stomps on his foot.

"Right..." She says "So.. this new lodge has a trod to it? She guesses

"No, they had to drive. It's in a different Duchy, too, so... uhg, probably gonna be an incident."

"An incident? then Sylvi and I should be told . We may have diplomatic matters"

"Well, we'll see when they get back. Not much we can do now but hold the fort."
