Siv takes a long drink and sips her coffee, then she makes a bit of face. Unlike her mother, she needs to soften it up with sugar , cream and so forth.

The normally fearless girl who lives for adventure seems to be, well, almost happy to be seated, sedate, and not doing anything.

Indeed, she seems to be basking in quiet contentment in a way that is normally found on her parents not her.

"Ah" is all she says as she replenishes not her glamour, but her emotional reserves

Sylvi, cheeks flushed under her knit hat (two helpful slots for her horns to peek through), pushes the front door open and taps the snow off her boots. She shuts it behind her and smiles when she sees Siv. "Two inches of snow, and Mrs. McGillicuddy is certain she's going to starve before it melts."

"Oh what a shame that would be," Siv says and sips slowly, as if recapturing serenity

Sylvi sighs. "And she thinks five dollars it big money."

She notes Siv's expression as she hangs up her coat. "You look like you just bested your arch enemy, or something."

"Do you have any idea about the redcap lifestyle?" A sip "And what they do to muse and have a good time? It's... it's revolting. It's horrific, and frankly? I'm really tempted to skip the coffee and find some rum."

A blink. "Wait...you...you've been hanging with redcaps? Like, not-Dirk redcaps?" She takes a seat opposite the older girl.

"Oh yes. A corby, remember the guys giving Dirk the evil eye at the saining?"

"I do, and I thought the goal was to keep the hell away from them!"

"Well, yours truly might have infiltrated them long enough to learn abit about their plans... and then approached her mother with a plan.. see, Dirk wanted to sneak into their place while they slept and break hands.. maybe kill one chimerically as a warning sign... Mom wanted another way" A sip "I proposed one. SO... I ...well, long story short, a con was pulled where those bastards thought Dirk had bitten off mum's hand..."

"You know, the silver one. They were given a forgery"

"I masqueraded as mum, and that's a weird feeling trust me, only.. without one hand"

"Worked at first, then it got complicated.. and gross" A drink

Sylvi's eyes are wide. "But...Dirk would never! You guys acted it out? Or just...looked like it had already happened?"

"Bit of both... Dirk went to them.. and they decided he couldn't be Seelie after that... but that damn Corby wanted to celebrate"

"Oh, geez. How do they celebrate?" She bites her lip.

"Body piercings withh things that were never meant to pierce, devouring things that are not just toxic, but gross... torture...but that got redirected.... stealing medical supplies or swapping them is a 'prank'"

"You...you were there? Why would you even do that?"

"To carry the ruse, and at the time I was pretending to be a female cap... and..." Shudder, sip "Long story short... Dirk's in jail"

Eyes wide, she stands> "WHAT?! Siv, we've gotta get him out of there!"

"Relaxx, not human jail, fae jail" a sip "Where's mom and da?"

"They're still upstate, I think, or on their way back. You heard about Colton and the new lodge? Well the new old lodge? Well, never mind, they're still out. What do you mean, fae jail. Do you mean at Caer Falken? What did he do?!"

"No, old new lodge? And Dirk didn't do anything but I had to make sure he was arrested to, part of the plan."

"Ohhh, so like...he's in it with them." Sylvi sighs. "He's probably loving it, but we've gotta get him out."

"Already handled, teaneck, Baron K is on it"

Siv looks pleased with herself

"Oh, okay! That's a relief. Baron Kealan is okay." She pauses. "Some of the people in his court kind of suck, but he's okay."
"Yeah, Colton heard about a revived lodge and told your mom about it...." She relates the tale.

...or as much of it as she knows.

"Wow... " A grin "Did you explain to him how you nearly crapped your pants when the mirror went black?"

"I...that is NOT what happened." She puts her nose in the air defiantly.

"I bet it's closer to it than you want to admit" A grin "Did you text scream at him that he better not be dead? I bet you did."

She blinks at Siv. "Wait...wait a minute...were you spying on me?"

A shake of her head "Nope. But I've been there"

A suspicious look, then a sigh. "Anyway...he's still there, and I really wish I could...." A pause, and she blinks. "Wait...wait a minute...." She takes out her phone and taps something in.

"There! See..." she shows the phone screen. "There's Fort Stanwix...that's where he is. And look, see? There's a river that runs right near it!"

"Yeah, if only you had a magic ship" Siv says

Her winningest smile!

"Don't you think I should wait until Dirk is released?"

A brow

"Well...yeah, sure, but...you said Baron Kealan has that under control? I mean, if we should be doing something about it, let's do it."

"Well, I left the baron evidence of DIrk's innocence. " She says "But right now, I'm unwinding, relaxing..sides, didn't you send your dad there to look after him?"

"Well, I...yes, but...." Her smile as vanished, and she's in full-on pout. "Why do I get the feeling you're intentionally tormenting me?"

"Because it suits your narrative?" Siv asks "Sylvi, he's a fine young man, he'll be okay Besides, mom and dad aren't here. Yet. I'm not leaving this place with yet FEWER folk until they show. "

" I mean.." She gestures "This is the quiestest the lodge has been in weeks"

A momentary indecision of whether to glare or smile...and she settles instead on a prim raising of her brows. "For your information, I didn't necessarily mean right now. However, if you'd be willing sometime in the near future, I'd very much appreciate it."

"Then you have my apologies," She says and seems to mean it, "Of course I'll take you as soon as I can without feeling like I'm letting someone else down. You care for him, and he for you, and you should be together so you can see how those feeling grow and show support for each other"
