"No no. But I saw somethings that, " A breath "Sometimes dad tries to warn me about the ugly out there, right? And I think oh he's over protective. But what that corby did and wanted to do... " A shake of her head "I think maybe I should pay more attention to dad. He IS over protective, but I see why better now"

Sylvi sits back down again. "They really got you shook, huh." A pause. "But they won't go after Dirk anymore, right? They believe he's not weak?"

"They believe he's awesome, and the time in jail with him will prove he's as hard core as they and so on... and ... when that corby gets banished, a part of the plan I did not tell DIrk about... but he'll go first as the 'most dangerous' into exile etc. Exile here, but they won't know that. So all covered, and heck, no blood shed..well, not NO Bloodshed but mom would be pleased I hope"

"Cool. Yeah." She thinks for a moment. "You don't think hanging out with them would make him more like them, right?"

"I hope not. He.. " A frown "You said give Dirk a chance. And then we did and.. you know? It was smart. It was a leap of faith that worked. But this really let him cut loose in ways that were ... scary."

there's a knock at the door.

Brekke looks worried at Siv's words, but then gets up to answer the door, opening it to look outside.

It's Dirk and a Thane from Teaneck

The Thane is a troll, one she has only seen once or twice.

With a bloody nose.

Mometary surprise, and then a smile. "Dirk! Hey! Siv, it's Dirk!"

Dirk grins, and he has a black eye "Hey! Oh geez it was awesome"

"Please come in...oh! Oh, your nose...do you need a cloth?"

"I'll be fine," the thane says "See to the pris... to your friend's eye"

"Still, come in, let me get you something to drink. Dirk? You want a soda?"

"I'm betting Dirk wants to keep the black eye, anyway."

The thane says "You're a very kind and lovely young woman, Emissary. But ah, you'll understand if I want to go home and shower. I do have a scroll message from my baron for Siv?" He offers it "If you could get it to her?"

"Of course, yes, thanks. And please tell the Baron thanks for his help."

She says, taking the scroll.

A nod, and the Thane smiles at her and heads off.

Dirk says "Guy can take a punch." Approvingly he getss in "HEY, Siv, how's the new piercing coming in? It stop bleeding?"

A blink at that. "New piercing?"

She closes the door and brings the scroll to Siv, looking at her with surprise and curiosity.

"Uhm.. I'm going to let it heal up, sorry, Dirk" She says then reads the scroll and nearly spits out her drink

DIrk says 'What?"

"uhm.. nothing " Siv says

Sylvi looks at Dirk and seems about to ask something, but then Siv does an almost spit-take. "Something bad?"

"No no ,very flattering just need to think.. you know what? With Dirk here? Maybe we can go see your boyfriend.. go get dressed for Rome"

Siv rises

"Dirk, watch the hold please? I know it's a lot to ask..."

"Oh shit sure" He grins

A blink, she looks between the two of them. "Wait...I...you sure, Siv?"

"Yeah, I think so... Sailing will clear my head and I checked the GPS, mom and dad are only 20 minutes away"

"Well...let me text Dagmar, ask her to come help out until your folks get back..." She sends a quick text as she's heading up the stairs to change.

And a quick text to Colton as well. TXT: Siv's bringing me to visit. Be there in a few. K?

And Siv says to Dirk when Sylvi is out of ear shot "Do not mention the piercing to anyone or I'll tell folks how you saved that cat when the corby wasn't looking."

"They'll think I've gotten soft" he says alarmed.

"Beest not tell then" She says and heads to get ready herself

Sylvi's back down pretty quickly, and she's decided to wear her emissary sash as well.

And Siv soon joins her, the girls head out

"Dirk, glad you're okay," Sylvi says as they head out the door.

Dirk waves "It's cool, later Sylvi! " A grin black eye proud

Dag arrives as they head out

Siv says "Thanks, Dagmar, Sorry"

"Hey, Dagmar. Thanks. Dirk's here, too. Let him tell you about his black eye." Then she's mostly just trying to keep up with Siv as they go.

On the way to the water, "Siv, what the heck? One moment you're all oh-I'm-relaxing, and the next minute you can't get out the door fast enough. What was in that letter?"

"Baron K wants to hire me as a spy for the County" She mutters "He thinks I'm good enough and ready"

"Siv! That's great!"
