Sylvi bites her lip and looks at Colton.

Smiling.

Colton smiles back and makes eye contact

"You guys are great," Siv says "The acorn, mom is so gonna want that"

Kerri sighs. "As if your phone weren't enough?"

Sylvi rolls her eyes at her mother. "This is different. This is magic, and that makes it better."

"Yeah, Siv, I think we got it for her. At least, I kind of remember it that way."

"Hmph. Maybe Stormwake would like to fly..."

"Either horse would, I bet."

"Yeah."

“See what happens when Oak puts it on.”

A snort

"Hey, where's Zane and his flagon ?" Colton says

"Oh! Hey, yeah?" Sylvi looks around. "He came off the trod with us...didn't he?"

"Yup. He was texting his fam," Dirk said.

Zane is a sleep on a sofa

Kerri points this out. "He must be exhausted." A bit of concern there. Satyrs are known for their endurance, so what wore him out?

"Hm." The Hearth goes to check on him, and to put a blanket over him.

The flagon with the dragon not only removes all poisons safely, it grants the ability to hear lies like a Gwydion once you get inebriated enough

but they'll likely learn that later.

He offers the book up to Kerri, with slight reluctance to let it leave his hands. “Could you check mine?”

"I'd be glad to." And she casts the cantrip without removing it completely from his hand, letting him stay in contact with it.

The book teaches a warior's art, but it is an art. And might be useful to anyone... it also can be used to learn certain realms of magic more rapidly. And...it has a method for summoning chimerical demons??

Sylvi blinks. "Demons? Like Nabuni?"

"Uh, that sounds.. dangerous" Colton says

"I'm not sure that's a good idea, Symon." Kerri looks at the book with misgivings.

'"Its sounds bad ass" Dirk says

“One of that’s plenty enough... “ but he looks very intrigued...

A frown. “It is mine, though...” Resisting the urge to snatch it back from Kerri’s hands. A touch Gollum-ish from his visit to the dragon’s lair...

"Wow," Sylvi says. "You with demons, and Gerd with ghosts."

Kerri releases it slowly. "It is yours."

Zane stirs fitfullyy, he looks kind of washed out actually

Siv says "Okayy...now I am worried. Did he eat anything or get bit before he came here?"

Kerri gives Zane another look, frowning. She goes to him again, and touches his shoulder, shaking him gently. "Zane, you're at the Lodge. Wake up."

He exhales and draws it close , spidery thin fingers spreading over the cover. A glance at Zane... a frown of concern. And Symon’s eyes turn green, trying to sense the weakness that plagues Zane, where it may within the satyr?

Symon finds the flaws... and mixes it with lore- some sort of magic the satyr was tied to was finally used...and Zane had bound himself to it... or something to it. He worked some mojo, wrapped himself up in the mojo.. and that mojo got used. This is the price

Zane wakes "The invaders are..."

Dag frowns. "You think he got poisoned, maybe?"

“Half-empty... not poisoned. Something took a lot out of him. A working he created was used, or broken? He should be okay I think. Maybe rest by the fire.”

he blinks "oh... sorry.." He wipes his brow, "I guess I was dreaming." he looks tired still "I just wanna sleep"

His whisper nonchalant and detached, but his eyes glitter curiously. Perhaps the playboy has more to him than the sluagh had suspected. And of course Symon doesn’t care about Zane, it’s just clinical. Right.

"Of course, Zane. But I'm going to keep an eye on you. You don't look well." Kerri heard what Symon said, but doesn't want to point it out to Zane until he gets some rest.

"Let me set up the cot by the balefire for him," Sylvi volunteers.

Zane says "I should get home. Fam is going to get worried"

"We'll call your mom. She'll be cool about it. " Siv says

“What invaders?” A dream maybe... but we know what dreams might be...

Sylvi gets the cot set up efficiently, moreso with Colton's help.

"Sidhe... pooka... others... they wanted the farm... then boom... and .." A grin "No problem"

Things wind down...Zane drifting to sleep.

Colton... and Sylvi ? go for a walk
