"Exactly. She deserves a chance."

"I see." An odd expression, hard to read. "I would like to meet her. You say she is with Klump?"

Nods. "She's sleeping... was sleeping.."

"Yes. " Siv seems very distracted , her answers short.

"Siv?"

Brekke looks to her daughter. "What is it?"

"Sorry... mom nothing crucial... mix of two things ... one is that Neera and I might have more in common than I'm comfortable with"

"Yes...." Brekke nods. "The thought crossed my mind."

"And the other?"

"Ah..contemplating the nature of faith and such. It's.. probably nonsense."

"Klump says she may not remember much of who she was. But, well, how much was there of what she was? Like.. well, like Flopsy before he was Flopsy?"

"We shall see, Dagmar." Another curious look at her daughter. "Do not dismiss your thoughts too quickly, Siv...but also give them no more weight than they require."

Siv nods "Thank mom."

Then Siv smiles a bit "So...we did well? Yes. I am fishing a bit."

That gets a bit of a chuckle. "Well enough, yes. Well enough." A twinkle in her eye.

Siv nudges Dagmar "hear that? "

Another shy/proud grin.

"I think that's Dagmar talk for 'squee'" Siv says to her mom.

Brekke nods. "I will say this again with others to hear it...probably often: I am proud of you and what you have achieved. You serve Rivervale well. Thank you."

That directed to both girls.

Siv lowers her lashes and blushes furiously, then in a whisper "squee." The blush is geniune "Thanks, mom"

"Thank you, Chief."

"Mm. You should also know that Vali has found a weapon while you were away. Bran. Another dragonbane. We are now well-armed, indeed."

"Should we try to talk to Bristlepine?"

"He beat us to it..darn..I mean.. not 'darn' but..darn" chuckle. "He's not hurt is he? " Suddenly realizing he might not be okay.

"He is well, now. But he had been badly defeated. He had forgotten himself."

A look at Dagmar at the Bristlepine question "The dwarf, whoever that was seemed... to get Dagmar"

"Hm. Dagmar, would you be willing to travel with me to Bristlepine? Or...hm...perhaps not me, if they are as you say. Perhaps Olgar."

"And glad Vali's okay" She says

"I'm Seelie now..." A little brow furrow.

"I'm willing to go, for sure. But... would they... well, we fought each other, we both fought good, that should count."

"I think it will count a great deal." Brekke nods to Dagmar.

"Like I said, Dagmar was very much herself as Koriene ,and I mean that in the best way" A nod

"Yes, Piper found Vali and recovered him to us. I owe her much for that."

"Except for being a boobilicious little cupcake."

A surprised blink at that. "A...what kind of cupcake?"

SIGH.

"Korinne was a tavern wench. Like.. you know... " she gestures at her relatively flat chest.

"The height apparently had to go somewhere" Siv shrugs

Bemused. "I see."

"SIV!"

"Sorry I mean. I didn't think it looked that bad on her.. y'know? And sides, you're young yet.. who knows? Maybe ..."

"No. No way. All those gross guys wanted to touch her, and talked about her like.. like some kind of... thing..."

"Oh now that wasn't on her or you, but okay okay sorry."

"Mm. I am sorry for that."

"Yeah, well, glad to be me again."

"Me too"

A slight glance to Siv, but all she says is, "Pennons must seem dull after that."
