"I do not wish it to be, but it may come down to that in the end. We will prepare more than three to fight."

"I hear likely we'll be set up for evacing the area where the damn dragon comes for if we don't get to it first"

Brekke nods. "I have been gifted a treasure for doing exactly that. I have it in safe keeping. And there are other resources to call upon. It will be a fight, but not a hopeless one, now. You have helped make certain of that."

She nods at the lance for emphasis.

Siv smiles "You should have seen mom... Symon was... he was a good leader."

An interested look. "This must have a good story attached to it."

Dagmar holds out the lance for Brekke to take.

"Well, Symon knows all the lore, right? And he was the leader, basically."

"Easier, because he didn't have to whisper there."

"Check my notes. Symon was an elf..which is like a more nature oriented sidhe without as many special effects"

Brekke looks at the lance and its bearer, very seriously. "Dame Dagmar...thank you for bringing this weapon safely back in the company of your fellows. You have done well." She takes the Lance from the knight with a solemn nod.

There is POWER in the lance. That much she can feel.

Brekke is about to comment on Symon, but then the POWER is made apparent and she stops and focuses on the Lance.

Dagmar quietly beams.

"Does this have a name, beyond Dragonlance?"

"Nothing official, feel free to give it one" Siv says , then snickers.

An eyebrow. "What is funny?"

"Well, Gerd had the idea at first but Symon is the one who we went to and ran with it and led us to it.... I was thinking it might be funny to name it 'Symon's tooth ' or 'Sluagh fang' since... you know, normally he doesn't have either"

"Hm. The sluagh who bites the dragon. A good story, but...well, let us see what name this weapon actually earns."

"Or if it breaks, it own't need one..."

"If it kills or even badly wounds the thing in the line of duty I'll be happy to work on a song with Tove dedicated to it"

"If it breaks, it will be remembered in story, and will need a name yet." She regards the weapon again, then turns to hang it over the mantle of the balefire.

"Tove's just gonna be composing all over the place..."

"What with Pennons about I'd be surprsied if she's not already in the mode for it"

"She wrote one about Odin." A pause. "Cat Odin."

A sharp look. "Gerd was with you, was she not? She is well, or you would have said something. How did she fare?"

"She was..short.. it was like a Piskey but smaller? But mom you would have been impressed with her w oodlore.. it ws the characters we were they..." A very thoughtful look 'Gave us things we didn't have. She was kind of reckless...but that might be taht too.. but she fought like... well she was brave and I thought good in a fight"

"Hmmm...Symon an elfin leader, Gerd brave and wood-wise...what of you both?"

"I was a priestess. a healer...which was good.." Wistful, but about what is hard to say. "A god who was associated with the sea, of course...though chiefly the god of perseverance "

Then a look to Dagmar, "Dagmar didn't change that much to my thinking. Not where it counted." A bit of a smile.

A curious look at the mention of this god being, then she turns to Dagmar. "Do you agree? You were much the same?"

Dag grumps. "I was puny."

"An orphan bastard knight.. so.. I guess not that different."

"But Korinne was pretty."

"Korinne...this was you?"

"Korinne was my name there, as the tavern wench turned knight."

"Ah." A nod. "Well, it sounds as though you were all who you needed to be to meet the goal."

"And her honor was her life"

No mockery.

"Well, her father was a Knight, yeah. And the Knights are like trolls or Gwydion, they have a code."

She nods. "So you understood this. It is part of your nature already."

"There was also.. oh Neera.. she ..she wasn't like us."

"Neera? Who is this?"

"Hm. I suppose I should simply read...." She indicates the notebook.

"A non player character.. a dream.. that was... " A smile "She was a dark wizard, mother. I think Symon found her fascinating. ANd yet, in the end she took a chance and came with us. I thought she'd dissolve, Symon thought she might become Chimera..instead... I'm not sure what Klump did but he took a hand."

"Neera helped Symon, and us."

"I think she's a Glome now too? She bonded to the magic golem rock?"

"I remember trying to save her on the way back..."

"You...you brought back a creature of story?" Brekke looks very closely at Siv.

"Well, we'd promised."
