Gerd smiles and looks at Connor "He can change form..metamorphosis. Not elder form."

"What did you do? Did you try to eat her? She's not REALLY a fishie, you know."

"Fishie? " he blinks "Why would I think she was a fishy?"

Gerd nearly swallows her face

He giggles, more at Gerd's expression that anything. "Siv doesn't get mad easy. Not even when I ate her favorite lip stick, and that was her own fault because it was strawberry-flavor."

"I can see why that might be a lure . Ah, Siv and I ..well, I'm not completely cognizant on why she's so perturbed in actuality" Jonas says perplexed

"I .. well, I put her in her new clothes because her old clothes got torn off in an incident. It seemed modest... and I worried she'd be cold. "

"Oooh. You're not supposed to DO that." Sing-song, "You're in trou-ble. Don't let Mountain know."

"I..her clothes were torn beyond recognition. I already assured her I would never and told her more than once that there was NO unsavory temptation" Jonas says with a light blush.

From above the stairs "SHUT UP, JONAS!"

Gerd is dying in a corner trying to keep her laughter non verbal

"Doesn't unsavory mean yucky. Maybe she thinks you thinks she looks un-savory. You should check again and tell her she looks pretty."

"That wouldn't be proper" Jonas says "And would be intolerably forward of me"

"If you're not moving forward, you're going backwards and that's not how you progress."

"I... you're a very precocious young man aren't you?"

"Um." He looks at Gerd to translate.

"He means.." Clearing her throught "That you're smart"

"Indubitably" the young man says

"Why doesn't he just say that then? No one will think he's smart if he can't talk normal words." He pats Jonas on the back - er, well, side, as far as he can reach. "It's okay. I can help you learn."

"I have been accused of being needlessly pedantic" the taller troll admits

"And a jerk!" Siv's voice comes down.

"That last only by yourself" Jonas says.

"Isn't that where you have to go to every door and introduce yourself when you move in?" Uh oh, has Connor been watching Fox news again?

Gerd makes a note to child blook a channel

Siv comes down wearing a far more complimentary outfit that shows a lot more skin, almost as if defiantly so.

Jonas says "You still should get checked out by your Hearth. You did nearly drown"

"I'm FINE..thanks" Siv says

"You almost drowned-ed? Jonas, that's NOT a good date."

"We weren't dating!" Both Jonas and Siv say at the same time

"You're already finishing each other's sandwiches. Oh, sandwiches. It's lunch time. I can make PBJs if you're hungry. Do whales eat peanut butter?"

"I'm sure they might" Jonas said "And thank you"

Siv mutters "Thank you, Connor"

Connor beams and disappears into the kitchen to make sandwiches. He brings them back shortly thereafter, somewhat messy but intact. "I put fish in them for Jonas."

"I... uah." He peels one bread side to be sure

There ARE fish in there. Swedish fish, in the peanut butter.

"Ah... I... seem to have.." A deep breath "Thank you, Connor. "

Siv and Gerd look at Jonas impressed but not where he can see it.

He beams at him, then licks his fingers. "I would have made tuna and jelly but I'm not supposed to use the can opener anymore."

Jonas nods "probably wise then."

"Okay, I'll go clean up. A clean kitchen is a happy kitchen." A siiiigh, but he does head into there, and is away for now.

"Could anyone..." He looks at the sandwich "I don't wish to insult."

Gerd says "Here, let me." She touches it and it vanishes.

"My gratitude"

"oh, your mom wants to talk to you, Siv" Gerd says "In fact, she might be... around here."

Siv is stiff and embarrassed about something but trying to hide it from Jonas "Oh I..yes. That'll be a thing"

And Jonas asks "May I .ah use your.."

"I'll show you where it is." And Gerd leads him off.

While Siv waits for her mom or dad

Some time later, Brekke returns from seeking out Frank and informing him about her phone call with Jessica.

And finds Siv. Looking ...miffed and embarrassed
