She sighs. "Well, okay, I get that...but sometimes he's just so...irritating." Dressed, she does a quick bit of make-up touches and simple hair. Earrings...bracelets...all added with quick expertise about what goes with what.

"Oh he EXCELLS at that. " Floppsy agrees

"Okay...let's go see about talking to him." And she heads out of her room.

And floppsy follows, Next time they have a vote I'm going to tell them where to put their nomination. Of course, then if I hadn't run for the position, it would have gone for that mewling hairball hacking nightmare

(End Scene)

Nadeen practices in the sparring ring with Whispermourn in hand. "I know, I know, they want you bound and gagged. I am sorry, my old friend. Trolls, you know?"

In a lodge full of warriors, she wonders if she is coming across as foolish seeming as she practices. She has had training at other holds, and thank goodness. Of late, she has felt somewhat neglected, but is too proud to say it. Besides, it's naught compared to what others are going through.

Part of her frustration is her closing in on her saining. She is SURE She is a Baroenss. SURE She is a Varich. So what else does she need?

"This must be how Dagmar felt." She stabs the target, right in the crayola stains.

"Who doodled on ...oh, Connor" A chuckle and another strike.

The pooka boy amuses her at least. Perhaps if she ever got a hold of her own, she'd ponder taking him on if the Chief were not offended. It seemed a shame how some of the trolls found his behavior offensive. But really, the boy had his challenges, of COURSE he'd be happier acting like a dog.

But everyone gave him a hard time about it. Ah well. Truthfully, the one she was most worried about humping her leg was Adam. The kinian was very cute. he'd make a fine servant, enthralled wouold be best, but just try telling anyone here that.

Still, she could not deny that this place was having an unhealthy influence on her. At times she was even finding herself tolerant of the sluagh. She'd never fully trust him, but it actually took real energy to hate him.

When before it came so naturally.

Sigh.. strike

A bit more practice, and she puts her weapon away.

And then departs. This month can't go fast enough

Soon, Adam gets a text from Sylvi. TXT: Hey, got a few minutes?

A long pause. Yeah

TXT: Cool. Ice cream place at ((location)). Meet at the table out back. My treat - what do you want?

When Sylvi gets to the place, does she find Adam inside when she goes to get her ice cream, or did he go out back as she'd suggested?

He's leaning against his car, watching the pavement.

So if he looks up, he sees that she's arriving with Flopsy and Nabuni in tow. She tries not to look too exasperated that he can't follow directions.

Nabuni says "I can't got closer to him without his permission"

Indeed, about twenty feet or so she stops

Adam walks closer, slowly.

Sylvi stops with Nabuni, sighs, and texts him. TXT: She can't get closer without your permission, and I'm not going to yell.

Adam reads the text and crosses the distance. "Hey."

Sylvi looks to see if that forces Nabuni to retreat.

Nabuni starts to back up "Can I... Am I still being told to 'go away'?"

"No. No, Nab."

A slight sigh of relief. "Okay...that's a good first step. Hey, Adam. Listen...I think I get why you're mad at her, but we need to talk this out. You okay with trying?"

She looks relieved.

"Yeah." Teen-Guarded.

"Okay. Ice cream? I offered."

"Thanks, no, I'm good."

Floppsy says "Are you sure? the Frozen Heifer is as close to wilder bar as you're likely got get in this town"

"Then...I'll wait, too. And no, I'm not trying to trick you into anything with the food, Adam, if that's what you're worried about. Come on...let's go sit out back." She leads them around to the picnic table. It's in a kind of overgrown area that would be unappealing to most mortals...perfect for private convos.

"Uh...." Not sure what she's talking about but..... he follows, and sits with her.

"You doing okay, Adam? "

That from Nabuni "I ..worried about you"

"Nabuni's been at the Lodge for the last few days. Flopsy here helped her out."

"Least I could do for a fellow dream. I fear there was some ...miscommunication"

"Yeah. I heard."

"You...heard?" Sylvi's surprised. "Um...okay. So...I don't know what you know."
