Frank knocks.

"Come in" Tove says

Frank does. "Tove. Evening."

"Can I get you a drink or soemthing to eat?" Tove says "What brings you?"

"I'm fine, thank you."

"Jaymes here?"

"Yes, he was in the restroom and..." There's a flush sound "Ah, the sound of matrimony's dark underbelly"

A grunt. Frank waits.

Jaymes comes out then sees Frank, and nods a greeting.

"Jaymes, your brother dropped by. I'm going to be in the kitchen, but if you need anything, either of you, let me know"

Tove thus creates space for the two men to talk.

Jaymes raises a brow, "mm weird. She's got the kitchen clean as a whistle"

"Tove, can you stay?"

She turns, "I can..." She says "Thought this might be a brother talk."

Jaymes looks at Frank, and gestures for him to take a seat

"No, parents. Dagmar home?"

"Basketball" He says

"Good." He sighs. "Jaymes, I'm sorry. Siv says she believe Dagmar is sweet on Adam." Like a man delivering news of a cancer diagnosis.

A low grumble rumble in Jaymes' throat

"We suspected" Tove translate, "But good to have confirmation from Siv."

"She was supposed to hate boys" Jaymes wrinkles a nose

Tove sighs "Jaymes, we talked about this. This is NORMAL. It's okay for her to have a crush"

A sigh. "Sorry."

"I know, but it would be nice if she could have waited another year ..or three" he says

Tove rolls her eyes, then says "Frank... I think I should bring up that Dagmar feels Adam isn't getting a very fair shake. I told her that it was much worse in other holds for Kinain, or that rules were not uncommon... and pointed out he does NOT have a Fae soul... but she's ..stubborn. She's also possibly got a point. I know Adam comes across as very confident, but I think right now Dagmar feels she's the only one offering a carrot and the rest of us have sticks out."

Frank nods. "I'm disposed to support him, although I understand Brekke's concerns."

"I'm going to try to teach him to staff fight a little" Tove says "For his own sake"

Frank nods. "I'm sure that will come in handy. Especially if he and Dagmar......."

Jaymes stiffens "He and Dagmar what?"

"If it doesn't work out." Gently.

"She's been trhough so much shit" Jaymes says "I just don't want her to feel...helpless again"

"She has family now, Jaymes. A big one" Tove assures

"I think I should say I've also got some concerns on Adam's behalf."

"mm?"

"He'd know what he was losing. And he doens't have that support. Of course... not sure there's anything we can do about it."

"He seems a decent boy overall... and he's got to be confused " Tove says "I think maybe he's equated the Freehold as some sort of personal snub... maybe by inviting him here more often it... will help him realize the Dreaming is really all around him, even if he's not always allowed near a beating heart of it?"

Frank thinks heavily. "Do you really think he wants into the Lodge that badly?"

"I'm not sure... it seems the oath and it are a bone of contention." Tove says "But most of my information is second hand"

A deep sigh. "He doesn't trust me to tell me." He looks up. "Think he trusts Dagmar to tell her?"

"I think she's my source but might be FEELING too strongly to...it's hard to say" Tove says

"Adam needs another fae friend. Maybe Zane." Jaymes says "I know The Chief is showing trust to Dagmar, but she could use help"

"Zane?" Frank thinks. "The boy can be scholarly in his own way. Hm. Closer to Zane could be closer to Nadeen." Thoughful.

"Well, yes" Tove says "But Nadeen is more mature about somethings"

"Just wondering if it would be beneficial to be closer to one of his own.... well, kin." Frank rubs his beard.

"Siv things it would be easier for Dagmar to talk to another girl. Woman. About this, Tove."

"I mean, Adam can talk to Zane." Jaymes says with a grunt

Tove says "As for Dagmar... I'm afraid this mother thing has two edges."

"She will tell me somethings, but not others" Tove says "Maybe Sylvi or Siv can open her up as a peer, but Kerri maybe the one she goes to for the 'other adult'" Thoughtful "Kerri and I had a talk about that in fact. It could be helpful"

"Kerri?" Frank nods slowly. "If you don't feel like you're the person for it... then Kerri, yes. That seems right. Up to you, of course."

"I think it's up to Dagmar" Tove says

Frank nods.
