The sound of a ship finally settling home

And Siv comes down, and hugs the Kestrel "Who's my bonnie girl? You are"

"I'm so sorry about that, couldn't he helped" She pats the ship

"But they've got you up and looking fine again"

She looks on the lodge, not even the dogs are barking "All gussied up and alone?" She lifts the dress so it doesn't get dirty and heads to the lodge

The dogs bark, and she smiles a bit, then, thinking on the craziness of it all ,she laughs!

Frank slams the door open and charges out. "Siv!?!?"

"Da!" Her face TRULY brightens and she moves to hug her father!

He scoops her up in a hug.

Of course, he probably can't help but notice the fancy dress

Eventually. "You're ok?" Searching her face first and then... oh, yes. "What are you wearing?"

"I'm fine, dad. All healed up and.." She looks down "Oh this. I guess you could call it a gift?"

He sets her down carefully and wipes the back of his neck. "A.... gift."

"Dressmaker at Earth Runes. I dropped Squire Colton and Seana off there before coming here"

"The Fiona hold where Sir August is?"

"And Colton?"

"Right" she nods "Good folk. Seana wanted to return there. She's kind of a friend to the hold. Neither of them is hurt. We informed every lodge we could of the dragon. At least five of those lodges are sending out messangers of their own to other lodges"

Frank takes a deep breath. "That is.... very good news, Siv. You've done all of Concordia a great service." He lifts some of the hair away from her face. "I'm proud of you."

He finds her smiling and almost lit up at the praise "I.. thank you"

Then "is.. everyone here okay? "

He nods. "A few bumps and bruises as school starts. Nothing we can't handle. Come inside?"

"Of course" SHe says "How are things with Adam? He adjusting okay? "

And she follows him inside

"Well.... from what I hear......" And he fills her in on the scant information he has as Siv is welcomed home.

"Wait, you told mom I didn't like Adam?"

"She said you seemed uncertain about him. Seemed like that was the answer why?"

"No dad. I like him, he's quite likable. That's the reason I was concerned" SHe frowns "Blast. NOw I'm not sure if I Owe him an apology or not for that or no. Dad, I'm not certain about him, but it's not because I don't like him. It's... complicated. he's a big flirt, like me...and a handsome fellow. I worry he could hurt this girl I know without meaning to. It's nothing to do with him being kinain to be honest. a boy without fae sight could do the same"

"He ... flirts. I had heard that about him." Frown.

"And that's why I may not have given you the details there, because you are..better than you were, but you're still very 'grr boy' at times. Even Olgar, and he's... Uncle Olgar is too feminist for my tastes"

A pause. "It is Sylvi?"

"Dad... he flirts with all the girls"

"But are you worried about Sylvi and him?"

"Not really worried about Sylvi" she says with an elegant shrug

"Ok." A low rumble.

"Adam wants to be us.. badly. Eagerly. It's to his credit he took the oath. Understand, we htink like aliens to him.. he doesn't understand... he has no fae soul... but here he is, trying. He's..he's a potential dreamer dad. He's into fantasy... and he wants it hard"

A faimt smile. "I -do- understand, Siv. Tentatively he has my support but... it's complicated."

"I supose you woudl know better... is he trusting you?"

"No." Gently.

"Oh the idiot. " A huff "Sorry, is it the Liam thing?"

"I think so. Usually is."

"so stupid. Makes me nuts how the bloodly leanhaun are 'sooooo charming' and they're monsters... but Liam is toughing it out and gets crap I really don't know how you all put up with it, but I guess it's a good thing for us you do"

He gives her a half-hug "Thank you."

A hug back "You needed to hear that? But it's obvious"

"To us, perhaps. But certainly not to Adam. And remember, he has little if any familiarity with Houses."

"mmph" She says "Well, whose looking after Adam most?"

"Dagmar. I will speak with her."

"Yeah.. uhm.. be careful. Dad. Dagmar is.. wow, she's been through so much. she's amazing... but still got buttons you know? " A frown "And..she's a bit sweet on him"

"At least, I suspect she is. I might be wrong"

" what makes you say she is sweet on him?" He asks, super casually.

"Oh, probably the blushing, the eagerness to impress him, so on... this could be good. She's been through so much that a little crush treated gently might be healthy... but that's why I worry about Adam, dad. He coudl be quite nice and still break her heart."
