Frank sighs heavily and nods. "I will speak with them." He looks at Siv. "How is your heart?" Quietly.

"I miss him" She says simply, "But I've grown used to the ache. And there is joy in my life. The news of the dragon is terrible...and yet, I got to fly and..well, make a difference."

Frank gives her a soft hug. "I'm sorry, Fishie."

"Thanks, but you know, I'll love again. " I hope "And he's sure to find some fine lass who makes him happy too" I hate her already "And...well, I really did have quite a grand adventure despite the dark reasons for it."

A frown. "Dark reasons?"

"Dragon dad... " Yet she seems exited, jazzed a bit.. it's not just the dragon "The reason was to warn about the dragon"

"Oh!" Frank shakes his head. "We were talking about your heart, and then the dragon. Right. Sorry."

"Okay." Another hug, positively mushy today. "You go on up and change."

"Dad I..." She looks a bit unsure of something "Am I a bad person for liking action when it means folks need rescuing?"

A chuckle. "No, Fishie. It means you're eager to help. That's good."

"I guess.. thanks. " She looks down "CHange? Is the dress that bad?"

"No....." a little thrown again as he takes in the dress. "Just.... well... formal."

"That it is," She says "Dad. I want to talk to you mroe later, you and mom or one at a time. THere's things I should tell you. "

"What?" Concerned.

"I may ... I DID ...have an encounter with Leanhaun...and a Varich.... who had taken over a hold by deception. The three of us :Seana, COlton, and meself, liberated the trolls, but the hold was sealed. There was bloodshed. I won, but the lodge itself was sealed by the chief to deny them the sidhe nobles the hold. "

Frank massages the base of his horns.

"Okay....." leading her to continue.

"Lots of details...death, treachery... shattered mind controlling crystal... blah blah blah... Thanks to SYlvi they had a noble sidhe on their side ..so on"

"Of course." Rubbing.

"The trolls i mean, Sylvi's contact with that baron Gwydion fellow worked out nicely. Oh, he says HI by the way"

"Who?" Frank peeks out from under his hand, confused.

"What baron Gywdion?"

"Snowmantle? Barony of the Starbear? he offered refuge for the trolls of Ice River Lodge when they sealed their lodge to keep that bitch Leanhaun and the Varich asshole from taking over... with our help, of course"

"Right, yes.... right. Sorry. Ok. And?"

"SO I feel bad they lost hteir lodge until they quest to get it back, but I'm glad they kept it from falling into other hands."

"And... the Leanhaun and Varich got away"

A soft sigh. "It happens, Siv."

"Yeah..and ..the Chieftain there kept thanking me despite all, asked if there was anything she could grant me personally and it was... interesting"

Quiet caution. "And... what did you say to her?"

"I told her that the time might come where another lodge might be in danger and they might need help in return to pay it forward"

He takes a deep breath and nods. "That was generous of you."

"They thought so too, nixed that... finally...unsure what else to say, I said 'how about a ship my parents don't co-own' and I LAUGHED to make sure they knew it was a joke"

Frank's mouth very slowly drifts open.

His daughter is now looking at her feet "Did you know our kith has a lot of members who don't get humor?"

"Yes........"

"I blame Sir Vali, actually. He skews it so hard locally it's easy to forget"

"Siv.... what happened?"

"They're sending me one" Siv kisses her father on the cheek "I gotta go change. "

And up the stairs she starts to go

"Wait, -What!??!!-"

The rafters rattle slightly. Happily, no sluagh fall out. Frank even looks a little abashed at it."

"I said I gotta go change" WHich is true. Of course, dad isn't a Gwydion, but neither is he an idiot. So that evasion is hardly smooth. But she's gone upstairs

"SIV!"

He actually steams a little, and then leaves the Lodge. WIth a THUMP of the door.

"Dad don't be.." WHAM...

"mad" she says , sighing and goes back to changing Parents. You just can't PLEASE them no matter how honest you are

Frank might see the Kestrel is returned, looks good... someone polished it.

Frank takes the long way to the Barn.
